Ok, so i have never met or even seen Jewel live, but who knows 'someday soon'

However, i have finally met our very own Little Bird, Kiera

It was strange because i did not realise that Kiera was staying less than one mile away from me for two days. Can you imagine out of everywhere in the UK Kiera was staying so close lol, its a crazy thought.

Anyway, Kiera came for a short while to the University and spent about 20 mins talking about JKF and all admin kinda stuff

Kiera, it was a lovely meet up, and i hope we can do it again soon. The JKF is nothing without you, as Jewel is nothing without her fanbase.

It was great to meet you too. Wish it could have been longer but it was a busy day.

Our offices are so close to you that I see no reason why this wouldn't happen again. Freaky how that happened though.

But alas, I am not a technician anymore. Clothing Merchandise Planner Manager but I'll always be an IT person at heart and will always have time to talk about anything techie.

The JKF is more than a hobby, it is a real passion to make sure Jewel fans have an outlet to chat and share and to gather as much info on Jewel as we can offer. And also to make sure it's free. I don't mind spending money to bring it to everyone.

But the JKF would be nothing without the members so they are the one that need the credit.

It's not a bad pic actually. I hate my photo taken but I like that one. I am glad you convinced me to have one taken coz it wouldn't have been right not to take one. I was just really tired and it showed.

Oi, thats Fantastic!!!!! and a great pic to go also!!! its always a good thing that ppl meet up eventually, considering the months or years you've been talking in a friendly manner

and to think you were both so close...it had to done i say

...Beware fellow Kilcherian Fans in Blighty and Eire....teh Meat is close to getting his 4 wheeled beast back on the road...so he will be about on a mission!!!! So Dave, we shall have to meet for a mighty few Grogs or two...and Kiera, you never know..oneday our paths could stumble into one anothers, as Ireland has always been a good talking point here in the UK as a nice place to visit...and REAL Guinness :P

Actually, one of my best friends who I love dearly is someone I met on the Internet. She joined my husbands message board and we just clicked from there. We've stayed in each others houses and even though we only invited 23 people to our wedding, she and her partner were amongst them. That's how much she means to me and my husband.

So although I can understand your reservations, it can be very rewarding also.

Obviously I felt very reserved meeting Dave! He has come off as a serial killer and madman for some time now and you should always be worried about meeting anyone that has quite an obsession with lezogs as he does but I thought it was worth the risk
