It's because it is making availablility of copyrighted material without permission that is potentially downloadable on a non approved site. NBC are paid by stations to re-air shows. When the shows are put on YouTube, they do not get those royalties.

At NO point should ANYONE share ways to download YouTube videos on this forum. Anyone found doing so, is in breach of the rules regarding sharing copyrighted material and actions will be taken.
