Hye have you ever heard their version of Heart-shaped Box? I am thinking it is from that hard to come by 'Origin' Cd like a second disc or something... maybe not... anyhow I think it's an awesome cover of that song. I am more used to her singing it now than Kurt
oh and you only have one more day to wait....

Yeah, I love their cover of Heart Shaped Box, it's simply breath taking. It's not from Origin though, i think it was just a radio show they did. You can buy it on the Going Under single:

BTW, The Open Door is amazing! In your free time you have to go to their myspace page and listen to a few of the songs:
http://www.myspace.com/evanescence All the songs they have there are from the new CD and they're all good ones. |

I wouldnt say I am a huge fan or anything but I thought it was pretty good. I read a lot of reviews of fans who hated it though... maybe it's very different? I am not sure like I said I'm not a huge fan or anything... is it true that Amy Lee is the only original band member still in the band?

No, when the band first started there were 5 people
Amy Lee, Ben Moody, John LeCompt, Rocky (Drummer) and I forget the other guys name but he had red hair. Ben left within a year after Fallen was released, he was abusive towards Amy and she didn't want to put up with it. Terry Balsamo replaced Ben, and he's been with the band for over 2 years now, so he's not a stranger to fans. Then the red haired guy left the band to spend more time with his family, this was a more peaceful split than with Ben Moody. So Amy, John and Rocky are still from the original, but now that there's only 4 people in the band they hold true to themselves. I don't know why everybody's so mean to Evanescence, they've never done anything wrong, if anything they're worked just as hard as Jewel did following the POY release, Fallen did so well and it took a lot of work for them. I find them to be a very respectable band. Plust the Open Door is like my ear-candy. |

I like how grand-stand it is... like every song makes you feel like the band is playing right beneath you or something...

some of their songs get me through my toughest days. I think "The Only One" is my favorite song:
When they all come crashing down- midflight you know you're not the only one when they're so alone they find a back door out of life you know you're not the only one We're all grieving lost and bleeding All our lives we've been waiting for someone to call our leader all your lies I'm not believing heaven shine a light down on me So afraid to open your eyes- hypnotized you know you're not the only one never understood this life and you're right I don't deserve but you know I'm not the only one We're all grieving lost and bleeding All our lives we've been waiting for someone to call our leader all your lies I'm not believing heaven shine a light down on me Don't look down don't look into the eyes of the world beneath you don't look down, you'll fall down, you'll become their sacrifice right or wrong can't hold onto the fear that I'm lost without you if I can't feel, I'm not mine, I'm not real All our lives we've been waiting for someone to call our leader all your lies I'm not believing heaven shine a light down on me it's a beautifully written song |

wow those lyrics are awesome. I need to go back and listen to it some more. I didn't give it that much of a listen... it really sucks not being able to listen to my ipod at work
I might try to start wearing it and keep it low profile like some people do... it only sucks that I cut my hair all off, that would have came in handy for earbud hidage
