Pics of your Town/City/Village
I thought it maybe interesting seeing as we have so many members from all over the world to see the diversity of where we all decide to live, in some case i guess where we are destined to live whether it be in a city, countryside or on a boat. Please post pics or if anyone finds a YouTube video of your town please post that too.
I will start and perhaps others can follow...... I live in Welwyn in England. Its a quiet oldish town that was built for the overflow of Londoners after the war, its actually about 30 miles North of London. Its really so quite but its what i want in my ageing years (shut up Andrea!) I live next to a small airfield, it sounds noisy but its great on Summers evening's sitting with freinds and watching the RedBull planes doing their tricks. Things Welwyn are famous for...hmm....Alicia Dixon was born here and Nick Faldo played at the local Golf Complex until he got famous A few pics on a website i found: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...a%3DG%26um%3D1 If the link does not work just type in "Welwyn Garden City" in google. lalalala dave.

Nice idea. I live in an idillic village of Rathdrum in Wicklow, Ireland. I am a short drive from the village itself but it's a bit far to walk but still within means.
This is taken from market square and was taken around St Patrick's day this year This is a photo of one of the 6 pubs we have. For such a small village...that's a lot of pubs. This is a shot of the back of the Church of Ireland church This is the main bridge and river which is nearby: |

Dave, this is a great idea. I'll load up some pics later. Kiera, Rathdrum is gorgeous. Gary Austin looks great too and Dave, Welwyn is so pretty. I'd love to visit all of them.

Really thats just the downtown part of Austin. There's more wide open areas too but all the pics online are mostly of downtown for some reason. I tried to get some that show the skies. Austin has the most beautiful skylines and colors and stuff. Like right when the sun is setting its the most beautiful skies I've ever seen.
More people post! I wanna see more places!

The Arch From Above My School! I tried to find better pictures, but I could only find ones of the Arch. Millions of that Arch!

I used to date a guy from there. He moved to Ireland as a kid and he was my brothers friend. He was ridiculously tall and we looked ridiculous together but I think fondly of those times. He's in the USAF now. He moved back to the states a few years ago. He still visits Ireland every few years.
I never knew St. Louis was that beautiful. He rarely spoke of 'home' |
