Life Uncommon makes me shed tears of hopefulness. I can't really think of any others. Of coarse I cry, but not really to Jewel's songs... uhh one time Hands almost made me cry but just because I was about to cuss out a manager and then it started playing and I took it as a sign.

I don't think any of jewel's music makes me cry either. Usually I listen to it when I feel life couldn't be any more sh1tty, and it cheers me up to know that my life isn't soo bad.

It generally depends on my mood though I do get quite emotion listening to 1000 miles away. I love the power and emotion she emanates in the song and it always affects me. You can feel so much pain in it. You'd have to be an iron man not to feel it.

Well, I wouldn't listen to music if it made me cry. Crying isn't fun. :lmao2:

lol, let me repeat:
ya, exactly Kyle, you've hit the nail right on the head my friend!
after all, who wants to deliberately make themselves cry? well, then again, I do watch movies that make me tear up-darn it, now I've just blown my own theory!

Yeah, true, well I find music as a release of all emotions. I don't cry in publilc or rpivaate hardl either. I've been conditioned to hold it in, to work out, to throw things around, to become volatile. I find Jewel's and Prince's music smaple to help me release fears and pains in a non angry way. That's all I meant, nothing personally attacking anyone, this thread was meant to see if anyone else felt pretty red faced enough to admit it, too.

No, I think it's really great that people can coonect to music and things on such an emotional level. It's healthy, so I hope I didn't come off rudely at all. In some ways I almost envy those who aren't afraid to just be emotional (to a degree) when they feel the emotion, it must be very liberating. And I can certainly understand the emotion connected to and generated from Jewel's music. I mean, her songs have very powerful and moving themes, so of course it will touch people.

That's what i meant. Like hearing songs like "Morning Song", that song preps me for anything to hahppen that day, because every morning I wake up to that song, and it makes me smile when I drink my black bitter coffee.

Hearing songs like "Daddy" and "Emily", I can connect with personally, and thhey hurt sometimes. They really do, and it's hard not to cry in private. I don'tshow emotion in public, but in private I think it's okay to cry. No one's there to see or stop me, right?

BTW, you're not rude, I know your sense of humour, you're fine, however I am questioning why you have that you are a Head of Training for the Office of Strategic Services, did you see time at Hereford?

Oh, actually it stands for Head of Oompa Secret Services Training, which stems from me and Marc joking about secret Oompa Loompa ninjas...which all began in the earlier version of the JKF
it's a long running gag

Last night at work the two guys downstairs have a list of things they must complete throughout the day mostly hygiene and cleanliness things with their apartment and I needed both of them to brush their teeth and they were arguing and arguing and my blood pressure was rising and I could just feel myself getting worked up so i left them alone i told them the consequences and I went upstairs and had a mini breakdown because I've been thinking so much about the future and stuff lately. Then all of a sudden I'm flipping through the music channels and see Jewel on CMT with her Stephenville,Tx video and I just totally calmed down and knew everything was going to be alright. Yep that's my story.
