Dedicated to Yvonne

Hidden from you, you've seen me a thousand times
Yet you've never guessed at what I have concealed beneath my cover.

I met you first when helpless you were
Troubled by cold, the indifferent northern blasts

Since that day I've kept my thoughts
As private as I possibly could

Never to show, never to share
The raging fire, burning within

At last the age, the time has come
No longer can this be kept secret

Fear fills me, what will you think
Will you abhor me if I dare to speak

When you spoke I braced for the wave
The wash of rejection to carry me away

The fear, the pain
I must brace for it

But behold! Your words do not ache!
You do not feel fear nor hate

You return the words, you look at me
Our lips share our first tender kiss in 20 years

Such sweet relief, like the rain
Falling on a forlorn Rose

Readying the earth
For new life to begin

My heart fills with a strange mix
Joy? And love? Who are these fellows?

So long they have been gone
I do not recognize them at all

Long have their places been vacant
Dust settling on the walls of their abode

Now they have come home
From their long journey

They reclaim their rightful home
Beating between my ribs

Your smile, your radiant, shimmering smile!
If I die tomorrow, I will have lived to see true love's first smile.

I'm a simple man, I simply wrote precisely what I feel for someone I am in love with.

This is one I wrote about the love of my life Shawn AKA lordassmonkey AKA kilcherfurtado AKA ShawnXmonkey AKA anything with monkey in it

Shawn is a goober, a massive goober
he lives in PA
and auditions for Who wants to be a millionaire
he lives with Nicole
and has a boyfriend named Justin
I have no clue who he is
but I met him online.

And he is the love of my life!

Thank you for that moving poem :bananarock: LOL the sad part is it is true
I do live with Nicole and I have a boyfriend which they both equally suck.

SO heres one in return

My little idgit bobby

every night when it gets late
I go on aim
I am on a slow ass computer
A snail goes faster then my accleration rate

I get happy in that special place
When my little idgit bobby comes on
He makes me smile
behind his back i make many monkey noises at him

He is a kewel little dude
He is my little elf
Although it has been a while
Since we talked
A whole 12 minutes to be exact
I must return the love i sahre
to the love of my life
My little idgit
Dont ask me what it is
but i made up idgit
Would u rather i call u
an assidgit

Stay kewel always
My little idgit

Went roaming around some old boxes and found these on bits of paper

This firey child has burned a hole in my stomach, spreading warmth and well being through the proper channels. The tubules carry senses and re-birth of appreciation to respected centres and areas of my body. In time, creates a cherished feeling that eminates to all but felt by the divinity of an eccentrically, empathic, synonymous being. And that is You!
(written around May 98)

Where will life lead us
in a world where
Ambition is stunted by
Alterations?
(written 29th august 99)

This is written for the same special person as my last one was. Please, if you don't like it don't tell me. It's very personal.

The spin and natural course of the earth
Created by God to serve a beautiful purpose
Sets men and machine to task alike

In the land known before
As Turtle island
The months after the harvest moon
Do pull the mercury low
And make rain into snow

1,962 years after Christ was born
Came into this world a little girl
Beloved of two adoring parents
She would grow into this life
And never know what is in store

In the months following harvest moon
When the wind turned bitter
And the gentle rain turned into harsh task master
A symbol of man's ingenuity
Would turn against this little girl
Fully grown now

Try in vain she would
The machine would not budge
Stubborn, stubborn like a mule
The machine would not budge

The kind old man saw her plight
And summoned his son
Born out of love, once saved from an early grave
He might have the key
To this special girl's life

The stubborn machine
Led the way while
He gave of his own kindness
Her frustration yielded and
Soon warmth and companionship
Were to be shared

The young man, so shy, such a virgin
In every possible sense
Silently struggled with a burning conflict
In his chest

Why, oh why cruel fate
Reserve the best until
It is too late?

Why could this young man
So noble and kind
Not have met this girl
In an earlier time?

But behold!
His heart remains hers
As she opens the door
And as she departs
She has captured his heart

Silently he sulks to his room
The old man thanking him
For the charity

But it is not charity
But a blessing
That caused this young woman
And this young man

To meet, and share a moment
In winter's icy grip

The stubborn little machine
Once so dead
Comes to life and
The girl goes flying by

On her way to whatever fate awaits her
Leaving behind the boy
She knows not what awaits her

The years march by
Never ceasing, never ending
The boy
And the girl
Drift out of each others lives

Unknown to the girl
The boy falls into a snare
Trapped by his own naivety and ignorance
Trapped by his own fair play

The girl grows to join
With another man
A simple man with
A deadly snare of his own

These two worlds drift apart
Travelling for many thousands of miles
Never knowing when again they shall meet
If ever at all

The boy upon learning
Of the girl's recent joining to another
His heart nearly collapses
His misery compounds

His hopes feel dashed
Against so many sharp rocks
Deadly to human flesh
He must turn numb

The soldiers of this universe
So proud and true
Carry time forward one second at a time
Never failing

These two fragile worlds
Once so brilliant, so new
Now appear older
Battered and skewed

But what strange odds
Are there that
These two should and must
Meet again

For after so many years
She almost completely having forgotten
The boy remains true to her
Steady like a rock

What tragedy comes to light
His beloved! She is scarred
Battered and bruised
What foul fiend has done this deed
To his beloved?

It is the deadly snare
So secretly and expertly hidden
Planted so long ago
At somebody's bidding

This girl now mother of two
Looks out for a hand
Someone who cares
She knows not who

The boy, his world also in rags
Knows this world, this girl
His heart flutters

He cares not for convention
His passion cries out
My woman!! I am here
I will not let thee drown!

His tattered, broken world
Patched and bruised by deceit
And savagery
Feels the warmth of a summer day
From this girl of long ago

Oh old soldiers
Do not lose your heart!
Can you not see these two
Must depend upon you?

Time must carry forward
Never to turn back
Old soldiers please do not
Set things back

When once the bitter winds
Of old Turtle island blew cold
And caused the rains to
Turn to snow

The fragile meeting of this boy
And this girl
Had taken place

Now again
Nearly 20 years forward
Their winter has turned to summer
Their love has started to blossom

Let not the cold winds
Isolate and diminish
Love so long held
The torch maintained

Let the boy
And the girl
Be one
And let the universe
Be at peace

hmm, this one is very rough as of yet, and unfinished to boot, but i am missing new hampshire, so i will share it and trust that noone will openly mock it ;)
it was inspired by a hiking trail sign that began with "Here we make men..."

here we make men
amongst granite slopes and towering trees
on forgotten paths
in empty mines, where iron was gathered
by iron hard men

here we make men, where blackbear roam
where river trout jump
where deer watch and wait
tensed to spring
at the sound of twig underfoot

here we make men
where the cool air cleans
refreshes the soul
where sapphire skies stretch up
out of green velvet forest
past the hard jutting peaks, granite cliffs
proud against the sky
overlooking green valleys

rocky soil i long to feel you beneath my feet
where stone walls draw lines in cool northern woods
where the silver birch and towering pine
offer silence and peace

This kind of follows on from my last poem, explaining a little about Jewel and how her songs mean so much to me. Jewels songs bring me closer to my little angels.

You make my day

Jewel, you make my day, in almost every way

You make me smile when im down, with just a tune
I know from now on, that i will see my angels soon.

When my times right Jewel, i know they will be there
Its not hard to see, that you really do care.

In your songs you sing and the poems you write
You find a way of making us see things that are right.

I did not know where i was going, my mind a mess
But Jewel, you have a way of ridding me of my distress.

Im sure that you have have a map of my heart
Somewhere over the rainbow, we arn't apart.

The same goes for my angels Jay and Kay
In heaven, i know now they hear what i say

They listen, and speak to me through the choice of my song
Im happy now, i can honestly say that nothings wrong.

Im done asking the question why
I have my answers, i no longer want to cry.

Did you know you initials are the same as Jay and Kay?
......Jewel, you make my day, in almost every way.
