Okay, being afraid of stuff is normal. So don't back out of answering the question.
I have small fears like heights, and confined spaces :shudder: . Things that I'd just rather not have around. But there are some things that just phase me. I'm okay with insects... just not where I sleep. My least favorite insect, the one that I will have to kill from a distance are centipedes. :shudder: :shudder: And I hesitate to say it, but I might as well come to terms with it... I don't like horses. I love pictures of them, sometimes, but I cannot be around them. One time my sisters friend was riding her horse galloping really fast straight for me; of course i flipped out and jumped over the fence. Too many have taken nips at my shoulder for me to be comfortable around them. So share your fears... it might be fun!! |

not always, but during certain times during the year i am really paranoid of the idea of rabid dogs, or stray dogs in general. around where we live alot of people let their dogs run loose, so there are times when i wont even let the girls play in the yard for like a week or so just because of that fact. (it all stems from watching Cujo as a kid)
since i have been in the south i am also afraid to approach snakes and spiders, which up in new england wouldnt phase me at all. oh ya, i also HATE being crowded by people, or when someone has to unnecassarily touch my hair or my shoulder or something when talking to me, makes me want to crawl out of my skin and i suppose i should be afraid of horses, but i totally love them. like i have said before i have been stepped on, thrown off, fallen off, been kicked, been bitten and have even bitten back once or twice...

:monk: THAT'S FUNNY! Becasue I don't like being around cows. They just scare me. The weird thing is though that's pretty much all of south dakota is raising cows and farming. So how I got to be this way I don't know.

I have a huge fear of losing my family, any one of them. If anything happened to Peter or my parents or siblings, my niece...any of them, I really don't know how I would cope. We're all very close.
I know this may seem silly to some people but I also have a horrible fear that I might not be able to have children. Often people don't know til they start trying and then find that there is something wrong. I have longed for so long to be able to carry my own children that I get insanely worried that it might not happen. Silly, I suppose but that's how much I look forward to having them. Also, on a side note, I hate car washes. I still sit in the car when I go through them but I have this horrible fear that the brush mechanism is just going to keep coming down on the car and crush the whole thing with me in it. I have only been like that for about 5 years. Loved them before i actually saw it happen in my local petrol station! The woman was alright but knowing that she could have been totally crushed scared me so much. I try to face my fear every time but I am still really scared. |

I have a fear that when i goto heaven my angels wont be waiting for me.
Other than that, i have a genuine fear of moths! cant stand the little :bang: .the big ones are the worst, and although i dont swat them i attract them. My worst nightmares involve being attacked by a swarm of moths. Butterflys im ok with....maybe coz they are cute lol. Anyway, must run, ALL the 1000's of students are back today grrrrrrrr.......wish me luck. :lalala: Dave

Im afraid that my debits and credits in my accounting dont balance.... OK, maybe not. But I can think of two things:
As someone said in one of the posts, I am afraid of what could be there in the dark. But is that because were watching so many horror flicks? What are you really afraid of, the serial killer/rapist, or a spooky spirit or ghost? Having been raised with a Japanese culture, I am sort of afraid that Ill be alone with a ghost or spirit. That comes to mind before I think about a killer or something more tangible. Is that normal? But speaking of spiders, I experienced what its like to have bad karma this weekend. We have two large spiders in our yard. They are unusually large (about the size of a nickel), and they spun webs in the rose garden. So, I did what a typical school child would do: I started to find other smaller bugs and fed them to the two spiders. I watched them spin the webs around the helpless critters, watched them suck the life out of them (I figured the exterminators would come for its regular spraying and kill them anyway). Well, after an hour of doing this, I picked up and accidentally dropped a piece of plywood on my toe (I was moving stuff around the shed to find some spiders, see). Now, I think the toenail will fall off after it turns purple. Needless to say, I stopped feeding the spiders. Am I evil or what? I think Im afraid of bad karma. I have horrible OCD... which reminds me... I have to remind my mom to make an appoint with the phychiatrist... im out of meds.. hehe...
so yea, I'm really anal about everything, and I get really obbesessive and worry alot when it comes to pretty much anything that matters to me, especially my dog. If i even think about the day that he wont be with me anymore, I get choked up and kinda want to cry. and my small fears: ~ confined spaces ~ the dark ~ heights ~ anything that has to do with water slides (i dont know why) ooh yea, and most importantly: ~ the giant 7 foot tall football players that weigh 375 pounds that go to my school :shudder:

LOL!@bobby, well you could always just do what my husband Joe did when he mock fought one of the football players-Jarod to be exact who is like twice Joe' size--(Joe is short like Dave)
anyways, Joe just jumped on his back, hung onto his neck and kicked his legs like crazy it was pretty funny and if that doesn't work, i guess you could always bite their ankles, or kick them in the knee :lmao:

Oh yeah, confined spaces and large crowds seriously bother me. Kind of claustrphobic. Stems from a bad experience as a child
