Kiss the Flame
Ok as long as I have been listening to this song I think now I realize that I need an interpretation. I was listening to my Night Without Armor audiobook and that one poem that is basically kiss the flame ("It is like a Dream") but the whole concrete and honey thing confuses me.. now that I think about it the whole song is a little confusing. What exactly is kissing the flame? I mean she says she wants to find a man who will kiss the flame... I wonder if I will kiss the flame.. but I can't say unless I know what that entails.... help

I've always seen that to 'Kiss the flame' is to embrace danger. Take a risk and throw yourself into something that can get you hurt. It's very literal to me.

realities and dreams. I like that.
Yes it has been awhile. I've been away. Life got busy, still is, I am just actually making time for things now. So hopefully I'll be on here more often now. I am glad you are still here, I didnt see posts from you when I first got back and was hoping you were still around.

Oh Greenpoet - I like that! well done. I have to be honest, with that line, I was relatively stumped. All the things I was imagining it could mean were nowhere near as precise as what you mentioned.
I just love how the combination of words in this context that can make no sense on one hand and yet make so much sense when looked at from a different angle. I love poetry!! |

Thank you, Kiera. My heart is overflowing with joy with what you said.

Is taht the same poem that has the line "There are people selling thoughtlessness with such casualty" that Kurt Loder called her out on in a live interview?

You're talking about the song , "Kiss the Flame"- Basically, the title itself gives an impression of a passionate love , no matter that which sometimes embraces danger or risk for the sake of love itself.
Its like , I have a "crazy definition of love" Here goes : "Love is like a beast You can smell its fur But you can't seem to see its face."
