Well, I played the Mallets in band, but my Sister is in collage to be a music teacher. She taught me how to play the clarinet (Her major) the piano, and the Trombone.
(not rusty)

My husband was the same after his mother died. He didn't keep up playing the piano and too has forgotten how to play at all.

You all are gonna laugh at this, but it's true. I play funny Civil War instruments, like the Jaw Harp! I am a Civil War historian, like a reenactor.

Every year in Aug I go up to the Blue Ridge Mt. in Virginia and ride my motorcycle in the back roads,so one afternoon I came upon this civil war battle thing,it was pretty cool, every one was stuck in some time passage the clothes even the talk was of the era. Some guy would not break charector.hung out got some stew and bread told them what I did for work became hit with the old timers, Got on my steel horse and rode away....

It's okay, Kiera, most people don't get it. But, I am a history major in college, studying emphasis on U.S. Civil War and reconstruction periods, with a History minor in Anglo-British history. Yep, rivetting stuff, so exciting! I'll give you a true but brief knowledge of what it's like.the truth of he Civil War soldier, and as hard as it can be sometimes is truly exciting to learn about, I'm darned proud to be portraying a soldier of this war that claimed on of my ancestors.
It is worth doing it, though. Just to see how our great great grandparents lived. It sounds like a sob story, butI rather enjoy it, being that I've eaten worse than spoiled meat or hardtack biscuits. Anyway, that's the hardcore version of Civil War reenacting. Fun, not really, but worth it, YES! Anchors Aweigh, Jones "The Lonely Angel" Last edited by 007; 02-12-2007 at 05:19 PM. |

I don't get your comment, what do you mean by that? If it's the fact that it is a war that's already happened, I understadn that, but, you must check your mirrors every once in a while. history forgottten will repeat itself. Take my word on this, I just got done writing a 15K history thesis based on proving thhat fact. You'll thank yourself to check the mrrors once in a while. Trust me on this one.
