That's the only downside of releasing old material.. people are always going to criticize any new version because they've heard the old one so many times.. Like with Rosey & Mick. She sang "do you remember when we were younger and bitter words were said" on the DVD and everyone remembers that. But every performance since she's sang "and angry words were said" so of course that's how it's sung on the CD but people want "bitter words" cause that's how they know it. If we'd never heard Studies in Love #12, Perfectly Clear would be perfect to everyone. I listen to every song as if I'd never heard it any other way.. that way I can fairly judge it.

i just love it....It's so good! they really captured the core essence of the song in the album version and it's just what this song shoudl sound like! Love it!

i love this song so much. the only problem i have is that she leaves out the line "i can read all the signs, hell i've known you for years". but it's still absolutely brilliant, i can't wait for this album!

I agree with you lordassmonkey. it does sound like a Spirit song. i thought of that today on my way home from work as I was listening to it. sort of like an homage to absence of fear even. Spirit still is my favorite Jewel album.
