I'm New
Just wanted to introduce myself. Hi I'm Sarah. I'm 30 and live in Dublin. Been a Jewel fan since 2001. Never seen her live but would love to.
Anyway, just thought I'd say hello and thanks to whoever setup the forum. We don't any Jewel info here in Ireland so it's nice to have somewhere online to get it.

To say I'm biased towards Irish members is true LOL. And my dear friend Chris is right, I am living high up in the hills of Wicklow but from Dublin, born and bred. Hey Kiera.. i was looking at the photos in Chasing Down the Dawn last night and noticed that one pic had the caption After a gig in Dublin...i was just curious if that was the show you had been to??

I was 15 when I first saw her. She was playing a small gig in a popular pub venue in Dublin called Whelan's. It's an icon for great music gigs here. I was underage but managed to digress about my fanaticism for Jewel to the bouncer on the door and I was allowed in but had to sit at the back. I had a friend with me who was only 16 so we really shouldn't have been there.
I then saw her in the Olympia theatre a year later, aged 16 so I was allowed into the concert without any problems. It was fantastic but we didn't have great seats. |

Im the other Administrator (occationally) I live accross the Irish Sea, but to the East. I went to Dublin a few years ago and stayed in a place just outside the city. Also went to Belfast and stayed in a fantastic Hotel called 'Jurys' near the main shopping centre. Anyway, just to say a big welcome to JKF, have a lovely time and post lots lalalala dave. |
