You guys really know how to make a girl feel special. Thanks so much everyone. You're all very thoughtful to wish us well. I'll post the next ultrasound on 9th July. That should be a really good picture as I'll be 22 weeks then. Already looking forward to it.

By the way - it is REALLY nice to see you too back! Especially you Gary (no offence Robbie) but I've missed ya around here...the both of you!

Ya never know...could be you and Laura soon enough!

Sometimes you have to take that plunge. Right now, the idea of paying for childcare scares me. 1 month in a creche costs more than my mortgage for my house. I have no idea how the hell we're going to pay it but we'll come up with something. There are lots of people out there, earning less money than us and they are able to do it. That means we can too...somehow. At least I hope so. We'll find out soon enough. I don't want to give up work at all, and for benefit reasons, I'm better off working but it does mean that we'll need to pay some form of childcare and that's where it gets scary.

I wouldn't know, a coworker of mine's having a baby and I told him a crib will put him back one week's take home.

THank God I won't be having kids, that means no more Sea Island Cotton shirts and trips to Paradise Island.

I hope things are peaceful in Ireland, I know you guys used to suffer from IRA attacks and such, but you couldn't force me to have a baby in America right now! Not with no one, I wouldn't have one even if Jewel berared and mothered it. Things in America are TOO hot and you never know with today's society here in America. And public schools, not happening. If I adopt, the child will be in a private school. I'd have a lot of bills.

Anyway, aside from the negativity, you'll have a little you running about. He'll probably learn Gaelic from you, just like you did, I'd imagine. It's good to teach your child a foreign language.

I'm just so thrilled for you. It's a whole new life, and you'll love it, 'and soon you will see'.

And to Gary, like I said before. 'Well damnation. I'm glad to see you back.' Don't worry, the hatchet's buried and we fellow Southerner's must unite in peace. We should gather together and drink the SOuthern brew of the Mint Julep.

You might remember me under the assumed name 'Jones'. Well, I've caught on and become adjusted mostly to the forum and am less of a complete jerk by now. Don't worry, they've given me shock therapy and tamed me down to be as gentle as a puppy. I'm harmless now. HEEHEEE. (They were giving me 2000 volts a day and now the next woman I'm with will light up like a slot mahcine and pay off in silver dollars! --RP McMurphy, OFOTCN) I knowyou know that one, man.

I'm personally very glad to see you back, welcome back my friend.

Signed,

007

Wink

Hi guy's,another old member is making a return, sorry i've been AWOL for a bit but i have had a lot of personal stuff going on,but that's a story for another day !!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly,CONGRATULATIONS to Keira and Peter on the news that you are going to be a Mummy & Daddy in November, thats a fantastic bit of news to return to. If it's a girl i reckon you should call her Jewel,it's the obvious choice,it's a lovely, unusual name, and it would be a cool name when she grows up.
I have popped into the forum a few times in the last few weeks, but not posted anything, but i have been keeping my eyes on the JKF news.

Hi Jones,(007),and all the gang,i've missed you all,and as i said, sorry for being distracted for a bit,but i am hoping to be a little more involved again on this fantastic forum.

All the best Keira, take care of yourself, and i look forward to hearing your progress with the baby.

Cheers guy's,its damned good to be home !!!!

Crawfy !!! X

thank Robbie!

Gary, We've discussed lots of names. We're pretty settled on the girls name though it's not Jewel. I think my family will think I've lost the plot altogether if I chose that. Though as much as I love Jewel and her music, I don't think the name works with our surname. Boys names are another thing. Haven't settled on any boys name yet. I'm still looking. Of course, when I get one I like, I put it to Peter and when he doesn't like it, there goes that name and it's back to looking again. We both have to like it. A lot of women just choose baby names regardless of what the father thinks. I'm not going to do that.

I really just wish this damned morning sickness would disappear.

I would recommend dramamine, but I'd check with your doctor before taking any pills.

I would also recommend Vincent but somehow I don't think that will work.

And Crawf, I am damend glad to see you back. With Gary back is great, because before he left, we were seemign to udnerstand weach otehr and hit it off.

But Crawf, I am thrilled to see you back.

Yeah using Jewel probly would make a few people roll their eyes ha ha I wouldnt do that either as much as I love Jewel... then you'd get so tired of yelling "JEWEL!!!!!!!!!!!!" it may taint the real Jewel Kilcher for you. ha!
Kiera did you say you weren't going to use celtic names? or did I dream that up? Anyways I can suggest the name of my best friend Kael, which is a celtic name and I think it's awesome. Actually I am beginning to think I might name my future son that if my wife approves. But we will see...

Kiera, are you going to have the Dr. tell you if it's a boy or a girl?? Just wondering, cause some people don't want to know with the first child, so it's a SURPRISE!! How exciting. Either way, he/she will have wonderful parents!! No doubt about that!
