On my way home from work today I saw 5 , that's right 5 houses with their christmas decorations up...and it's not even Hallowe'en yet.
Is it just me, or is Christmas getting earlier and earlier each year? |

To be honest, I can understand the stores as there are already plenty of people buying Christmas presents now (myself included) When you get paid by the month like I do, you have to think a few months in advance.
But homes???? I just think that is ridiculous. |

yeah.. you think it's bad over there... hah! I'll have to take pictures the next time I go home... and you will see horrifying gawdy decorations... there's this house in my neighborhood that always has the most tacky decorations for halloween, (honestly a jack-o-lantern is fine, that's all you need but these people have like 20foot high lawn decorations up right until halloween and the next day thay put up their christmas stuff.
I just gotta find my camera. |

Yeah Ireland has slowly become americanised in the last few years when it comes to Christmas decorations.
I'll take my camera with me to my Mum's house at the weekend and take a photo of the house at the end of her street. You can't even see the house with all the lights and tacky decorations in the way. I would dread to see his electricity bill. |

Ive noticed that in our local supermarket they have had the xmas shelves up for about 2 weeks now. Before we all know it there will be shops selling Easter eggs in the summer for the following year.
I realise the weather is mucked up and gone mad, but why is it sooooo hot in England at the moment? do you think is something to do with global warming, or is it because all the oldies are being to make sure they stay nice and warm this xmas? Im off to get my flu jab, see you all later. cindy xxx |
