Amy Lee of the band Evanescence has a younger brother with Epilepsy --apparently he's had three surgeries for it-- and she has agreed to be this year's EFA spokesperson. Her band is behind her on this as well. Amy, the band and the EFA all want to roll out some really interesting stuff out at the same time but since the band is in the middle of recording an album right now, they can't roll out with it in "our" month of November. However, they'll be making up for it!

I think she has a real presence to bring awareness about epilepsy. I actually don't know anyone who suffers from it but I keep learning more and more about it. It is really tragic and feel so sorry for anyone affected by it.
