Has anyone here heard of this young lady?? Her music is pretty cool! She's got a lot of soul in that voice!! I was looking on the music store on iTunes and saw a picture & video by her so I thought I'd go check it out! Her music is really good, in fact she was opening up for Jewel & Rob Thomas this summer!! So I thought I'd mention her here if anyone is interested.

She is amazing
I love her song DEVILS AND ANGELS and EVERYDAY and LEAVE IT INSIDE and her cover of REAL LOVE and FRONT ROW and then I think its HOLDING ME DOWN then she has BETTER and omg the best yet is FRIGHTENED

This is the first opening act for Jewel that i actually liked

I've obviously heard of her as she opened for Jewel but I don't know much about her. Sounds like I need to do some research and find out a bit more about her.

OMG she is like Joss Stone but Joss stone sucks in comparison toby lightman can take that hoe down any day

I don't really like Joss Stone's music, it isn't what I was expecting from her appearance, I know you shouldn't judge a book by the cover but I didn't like the text inside the book. I will check out this Toby Lightman tho, she sounds pretty good from everyone's opinion

It's a shame an artist like Toby Lightman is not well known.
Its a shame we get the same crap on the radio I can't wait til this urban phase is done with

I agree. Urban is ok but they are pushing it... if only all the songs had meaning..... I don't like Promiscuous Girl but I think Nelly Furtado does a pretty good job of keeping her music real and it being good urban sounding music, but she's got a great variety of influences in her music.

I dunno why she put loose out considering there was 3 amazing songs that would of been so much better on this album

UNDERCOVER- Is wow i dunno what to say for that would make an amazing single its different than anything u hear on the radio

RUNAWAY- Lots of emotion in this one

I AM- This one would of been so much bettter on the new album as like a closing song

Unfourntley these songs will remain un-released and proabaly never see the light of day other than I think Undercover which is on the MANEATER Single

I really loved her performance when I saw Jewel earlier this summer. I got her CD at the concert... it's ironic... as much as I love jewel I didn't get any Jewel-souveniers, all I got at the concert was Toby's cd.

I fell in love with Toby she is reallly amazing I hope she continues to make music even though she may not end up being as mainstream as some of the big names today

I am currenly listening to "Bird on a wire" the 2nd cd from this artist and WOW this is one cd that I can never get sick of.

You guys have to have to check her out. Her Current single is "my sweet song" which i don't see as radiofriendly but it is an amazing song.
You guys should check out "dont wake me" "Alone" "round and round" one of those songs would make a great single. I am in love with Toby Lightman.

She has even seen one of my youtube videos. I write her every once and a while and she writes back and she wrote in one of the emails about my video i did for "holding me down" she got a good laugh out of the video and thanked me and all that goood junk. It was kewel because it wound up being linked on her website.

Anyway she is just an amazing artist get her cd and like it

That sounds pretty cool! I go and hear some songs of toby! Shes very beuatiful and her style (what i heared actually on her website) is a mixture of norah jones, joss stone and our beloved jewel IMO
