I especially love the bit where someone near the camera said 'Good Day by Jewel' and someone else said (faintly) 'Who' and the guy repeats 'Jewel' again. LOL. Poor Jewel was barely known in that bar by the likes of it.

Very nice LAM!!! I shamelessly promote Jewel all the time too. I have everyone in my dept. at work listening to her new album!! A few of them asked me to burn them a copy, but I said please just go buy it at the store to help her out. And THEY DID. So hopefully through word-of-mouth I'm getting her music out there, at least in my little corner of the world. I request her music every day to the radio stations too. I have all the DJ's emails and I send just 1 email to them all every day asking for "Good Day"....I'm hearing it on the radio too. Must be paying off at least a bit.

OMG I am promoting jewel any which way i can when her album came out i wore a homedae t-shirt at walmart saying the album was out lol..
I would tell random customers and i annoucned it before i left for work that day.

Anyway youtube is my other way of pormoting every other one of my videos has osmething to do with jewel

I'll include links to your vids on YouTube and they'll have no choice but to have you meet Jewel. I think she'll be amused that someone would go to such lengths to do something like that. From what I've heard she has a quirky sense of humor and I think she'd love to see them!:D

Very true, LAM!!! Atlantic has done a pis* poor job on promoting this album....it makes me so mad!! GAIW is one of her best yet, and most personal, but it hasn't gotten any attention BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT IT!!! It boggles my mind that these record companies put all of this money, time, and energy producing these albums.....and then they don't promote it?!?! What gives??

No one is going to buy it if they don't know about it. I guess what I'm saying here actually makes SENSE, something these record companies obviously are lacking. I feel so bad for Jewel because she deserves for this amazing album to be successful (of course it is to me, I LOVE IT!!) but I mean from a record company's standpoint. It's just so sad.

I don't know if it's because Jewel decided not to renew her contract with them or what but I have to agree with you guys.

If it wasn't for us making the small changes and making fans aware of the latest Jewel news, we'd never know anything she is doing. The official site is barely updated monthly if we're very lucky but we manage to get updates out at least weekly and sometimes daily.

There is no reason for Atlantic not to help promote this album other than they don't care about it.
