It's International Women's Day today so I was wondering what all of you appreciate about women the most?

Let's keep this clean!

Think of an inspirational woman and why you think so
Or perhaps you would like to highlight the strong women in history that you feel should be commemorated on this day and why

All aspects in the celebration of women are welcome.

Really looking forward to your responses

um.... hate to be so....predictable...

i'll nominate JEWEL aka JUEL aka (some weird name she adopted in HS lol)

what isn't to love...sexy, giving, music is excellent (all of it -even 0304 - even if you didn't like it - you'd still have to say it was brilliant for that type of music), and great really.....

as for a woman that is international ....um...do i know any? lol

No I have to agree. Jewel has been an extraordinary inspiration to me in so many ways that it is only right that she at least have a mention. :clapjoy:

And all this time I thought you married (and committing) to the board. Silly me. ;)

My posts are just harmless fluff. As I am sure many of you do, I have a full and productive life outside the forum. I just work out of my home and am able to spend more time online than most people. Being always online with 4000mbps download speed has it's advantages.

I've never given Jewel flowers or candy. I guess I'm just not committed to Jewel. ;) :P

I think the one woman I appreciate the most is my mom. Other than the obvious reasons, she's someone who I can really talk to about anything. She seems to be the only one who really thinks logically about things, while everyone else is so confused about certain stuff. Plus, she's such a fun person to be around, even if she does get annoying at times lol. I still love her though. :)

Yep my mum would be my number 1 choice. She raised 4 kids on her own whilst having pretty much no money, went back to school, worked full time and yet I don't remember her ever not being there. I don't know how she did it.
We get on great and that's always a plus.
