Well it won't be on the European FOx channels that I could find.

Very disappointing. Americans get all the fun.

I just finished wathcing Jewel's performance and she was wonderful (as if she would have performed any other way?). She has the song nailed down, just like the recording but with taht "extra" live Jewel energy.

P.S I jus want to go on record for saying that NASCAR is probably the most boring thing ever....cars going round and round without ever really going anywhere. Lol.

The fans seeeemd really rude and just like they didn't clap or cheer or anything.

I just saw it too, & wasn't suprised that she sang Again & Again. Gotta promote the new single.... When they announced that she was going to perform, they showed what looked like a screenshot from the Alice video, so I thought she was going to sing that instead. But it was still nice to see her perform again :)

Yeah it did seem like the crowd was unenthusiastic about Jewel performing, but lthese are poeple who find amusement in really fast cars going in circles...the experience of Jewel will hardly be comprehensible to them.
Or maybe Jewel did get a good cheerand the mic just didn't pick up the sound?

I watched it as well and I don't think people seemed that enthused either but it's all filled with rednecks and testosterone ego trips. So what do you expect? But it really was a beautiful performance.

Perhaps they just wanted to see the cars.

I remember years and years ago (coz im old now) my mum and dad taking me to speedway, hmm, not sure if Americans know what that is but men on motorbikes going around on cinders........sorry cindy lol.

Anyway, before the racing started there was this band on stage called the Rolling Stones, well there was about 500 people not at least bit interested in seeing them, in fact they got booed off stage, i guess sports fans arn't always music fans.

So, there you go, keep this thought JKFians!

"Nether cross a cows path as it may bite you on your arse" .......... actually i just made that up lol.

It was AWESOME!!!! She looked very beautiful...and it is a great song. I like the sound and feel of it...She wails towards the end and watching her sing it- she was very expressive. She was so cute when she was done. She shyly said "Thank you NASCAR, have a great afternoon" so sweet.
Anyway I was skiing so I taped it on the VCR and I have watched it Again and Again...
I don't think the fans were booing even remotely. You have to realize this was more for the TV viewing audience than the people in the stadium. There is NO way the acoustics could be good enough so the people in the HUGE stands could hear it.
This was an intelligent, savvy, marketing move by her management to get her on TV with the new single. NASCAR is fast becoming one of the MOST watched sports in the United States. Undoubtedly her performance was seen by a huge television viewing audience which is whom it was most likely intended for.

:lmao: Couldn't agree more, if Nascar had a right turn, the crowd wouldn't know where the cars went.. LOL

Craig, it was a huge American TV audience :(

Dave, i'm not surprised the Rolling Stones got booed off the stage, they didn't last long did they? LOL

And, did you know a VCR video can be converted into an mpeg... just a little trivia from those outside the US..

Did she only play "Again and Again" or did she play more songs?

Craig

Yeah Bobby- she only played Again and Again...it was after all the pre race analyst banter... and before the Star Spangled banner. I was hoping she would sing that too but they got the girl Fantasia, the one with the voice that sounds like Minnie Mouse who won American Idol to sing that.

Interesting point, if you look at little_birds photo's of the post previous to this one, you will notice in one scene Jewel is playing an acoustic guitar, and in another an electric guitar. Maybe they only televised one song. :lovejkf:
