Ok now I am proabaly going to get busted for this one but I'm gay so you gotta keep that in mind..
How many people like the golden girls besides me.. OMG that is one fo the funniest shows ever to be on tv..
The characters were so great.
The way each actress potrayed them to was great..
Putting a Sl*t, Ditz, Smarta** old lady, and nerdy english teacher
together that was some pretty goood writing..
THe golden girls they delt with alot of intresting topics over the shows seven seasons..
Am i to much of like a dork for like owning hte first season and like awaiting the next one tocome out on May 17th..

Excuse me, but how does listening to Jewel make someone gay? That's like saying everyone who watches "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy" is gay. Sure, I listen to some chick music...but I am not gay.

No offense Michael, but I was always sort of under the impression that you were gay, but...don't you want Jewel to date you?

well...like i said...jewel can be funny...she can be a bitch i heard (on the set of ride with the devil) and she can be smart..... so...i'd have to say she's the MOTHER of dorothy..... smart...funny...(but she's also attractive which means that um.....none of the above for looks wise) lol

wow! the golden girls, i used to like watching that...seems like a long time ago now, it's interesting having two guys talk about it (gay or not) but ya, i really liked that show.

i don't know that this classifies as bitchiness, but i do remember when jewel did a show at the marine corps air station near us, she had reportedly stormed off the stage because people were cramming in too close to the stage for her liking, so maybe that is less bitchy and more conerned for peoples safety? however most thought it was bitchy...oh well!

Well I've never been afraid to post an opposing view, but I hate watching The Golden Girls. Someone in my family used to watch this show every day and it ticked me off so much that I would have to leave the room. What did I not like about it? I'm not sure. Maybe I'm allergic to old ladies. ;) I guess it could be that I've always had problems with situations comedys with very few exceptions - for example I like Seinfeld. A new show I like is Boston Legal. I find William Shatner and James Spader to be hillarious in that show. I laugh out loud every time I hear him say "Denny Crane". It's like he's going to have an orgasm every time someone says his name. It's a classic - really the best thing William Shatner has ever done in his whole career. And it has Betty White in it! And she's so funny in it. It's strange to see so much comedy with such serious topics.

Hey, I do like Judy Garland, but I'm not Gay. I'm happily married with kids and grandkids.

What else was Judy Garland in besides the wizard of oz...
Anyway.. You know Golden Girls is an all time classic..
This fall will mark 20 years since its first episode aired..

yah..we all have our own tastes...i mean...watching the golden girls to me even though i'm gay seems diff....but i have diff. tastes just like everyone else does and i respect yours.... it's a good show...but it can be odd and seem more of an old-time show like.... seinfield i always thought was strange...maybe it was the characters...but it can be really really funny...

and the remark to liking jewel and not being gay...yah...when i saw lordassmonkey type that remark....i didn't want to say anything but i knew it would come off offensive to some..... but being gay doesn't make you any less of a person - that's all i'd like to say -_-

Judgment at Nuremberg, A Star Is Born, Ziegfeld Follies, and a bunch of more lesser known movies. She was a good actress, but you point out that The Wizard of Oz was her only big lasting hit.

Glad to hear you like the Golden Girls. We all have different likes and dislikes. I like Bob Dylan, but I bet there's many here that can't stand him. To each his own. :D

i tend to like bob dylans lyrics more than his singing, though i think the song of his that i like the most was (and i may mis-name it) -it's all right ma? it's all right ma, i'm only dyin'...havent heard it for a long time.
seinfeld rocks, there are too many references to use, but the soup nazi is one of my favorites-No Soup For You!

I love the Golden Girls !!! I kinda learnt english by watching the golden Girls about ten years ago; at the time, it was the only show aired on french tv in english with subtitles.

when I lived in Boston, I was amazed because the Golden Girls were on almost everyday, 3 or 4 times a day. ^_^

now , I miss the Golden Girls

Her part is funny on Boston Legal too. And who could forget her work on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. She's been on TV for longer than I can remember. Now that's ancient television history. ;)
