Thanks everyone, sorry about the slow reply, I did not realise there was a newbie welcome wagon :P Already getting to know litte bird over the last couple of days..

This is the first forum I have joined, so if I stuff up, you know why... Do these little characters ever get anoying after awhile?

Not much I can say about myself... I can tell you I'm a fan of great music and really respect artists that can sing, write and perform well (sounds like Jewel)..
I play guitar myself and really have this thing for a female with a guitar in her hands. And when they can sing and write songs like Jewel, well what can I sAyYY..

I'm I boring you yet  just found all the other smilies!!!
OK.. I use to work in the IT industry, but got fed up with all that, I'm now doing self study in Web design. I live in Australia, like cycling and going to see live bands..

I'm a little frustrated at the lack of Jewel in the media in Australia, so the Jewel forum is a great place to keep up. Hope Jewel includes Australia in her next tour..

had enough! :newbie:

Dohh!! no spell checker!...

Never have enough Phil...keep it coming.

Actually, Jewel media in Oz is a heck of a lot more frequent that little ol' Ireland believe me.

Cheers Dave,

I went to your Lene Marlin site, she is not bad is she, not quite the vocal range of Jewel, I will try and get hold of her two albums though.

How is her first name pronounced? is it Len(i) or what...
Have you seen her Live??..
:thxblush:

Lol Phil

i pronounce her first name 'gorgeous'
:urok:

I think its said like you would say 'Laynah'

I saw her in London once when she was doing a promotion in HMV but although im a member of some Italian fanclub http://www.lene.it
ive never seen her or Jewel live.

Living on an Island means we Brits dont get out much really lol.

Arctic_Breeze (anette) lives in Norway, she first introduced me to Lene Marlin and would know the answers to your questions.

That's it then, from now on we will call her Laynah Gorgeous Marlin.. lol

It's good to know I'm not the only one who hasn't seen Jewel live.. I've only been a real fan now for about a year. See hasn't been back to Adelaide since 1999.

Did you really catch that fish, or is there a fish & chip shop around the corner lol..

I wasn't sure if you were a Brit of a Norsman, I was born in Cambridge, parents emigrated when I was 7, and despite the size of Australia, I don't get out much either, everywhere is just too far away..

 :brit:

See ya for now...

Phil thats crazy!
I live about 10 miles from Cambridge, do you remember Haverhill or Linton?

Id love to live in Australia, perhaps if we get to chat you could sort me out a website designing job and id emigrate too! :-)

cheeky i know, but hey

Im not Norsman, or i think they would say Norsk but i do think i have some long lost Viking blood in me somewhere. Plus i love the snow n stuff they have out there, oh! and not forgetting :blonde: women lol.

ps, it dont matter Phil, youre not going to be the only person not to have NOT seen Jewel in concert theres plenty.

She's in most fans head somewhere which sometimes is nicer in dreamworld.

Dave, wow that is crazy  it's a small world isn't it!
I can't remember to much of Cambridge, and can't remember where we originally lived, I do know before we came to Australia we were living in outta surburb somewhere St Ives...

We are currently in the middle of a heat wave, last 8 days 35+ degrees cent. Last two days 40+, tomorrow 39 with cool change late in day, will bring it down to about 32. Are you sure you would like to emigrate to Aus.... lol

And thanks Kylie, love the graphic at bottom of your post, made me laugh...

Thanks guys... stay cool :tmbup2:
