what's platinum in oz figures? 100,000 copies?

1,000,000 in US units = platinum
500,000 in US units = Gold

so unless we live in australia, i think we'll trust our ..... US intentions...our US intuition.... read the http://www.michaelsjewel.com/discography.html page for real stats pertaining US statistics.

You needed more proof than Justin to know that Austalians do things "differently"? ;)

The population is WAY different too, Michael...

like... 20 million here in Oz...
what's the usa population... around 300 million ???

It ain't that easy to get platinum here...

and Jewel's got 11 !!! :clapjoy:

:bunny:

I've no idea why I've included the rabbit.

So... I'll dedicate it to Lissa (she likes rabbits)...
well, providing she doesn't get his nutz cut off...
she does that sort of thing to rabbits. :omg:

How many times do I have to quote this? According to the U.S. Bureau of the Census, the resident population of the United States, projected to 02/26/05 at 03:34 GMT (EST+5) is 295,547,694

COMPONENT SETTINGS

One birth every.................................. 8 seconds
One death every.................................. 12 seconds
One international migrant (net) every............ 26 seconds (Hopefully we're keeping the Australians out)
Net gain of one person every..................... 12 seconds

We have less than 5 million in Ireland, I really thought there would be more than 20 million in Oz.

Anyway, I have no idea what the stats are here for Jewel's albums/singles etc but I bet they are really low coz no-one seems to know who she is. I always find that funny coz she has always played sell out concerts here.

The population of just the Las Vegas metro area is expected to grow to over 2 million soon.

Here you go, Kiera...

On 27 February 2005 at 11:01:37 (Canberra time),
the resident population of Australia is projected to be:

20,273,474

This projection is based on the estimated resident population at
30 June 2004 and assumes growth since then of:

one birth every 2 minutes and 5 seconds,
one death every 3 minutes and 54 seconds,
a net gain of one international migrant every 4 minutes and 8 seconds
(we allow Americans... someones gotta sweep the streets)
leading to an overall total population increase of one person every
2 minutes and 9 seconds.

And yeah Kiera, what d'ya reckon to all that Oz platinum ??? :clapjoy:

Yea, I was going to say something about that, but I figured that's Lissa's job to reply to that one, Michael. I'm staying out of this one.
