Just curious, but what are personal photos and why can't we use them? Everytime I go to it through my info it says that I don't have permission to use it. Just wondering. :)

I'm not sure. There will still be niggly little things like this to iron out in the next few months. It takes someone, like yourself, to try and use the features to realise there is a problem.
I will check it out. I think it might be the upload restrictions in place. If it is something like that, then I am not sure if I should change them as we have a very limited amount of space allocated to this site, uploaded avatars, smilies forum images, backgrounds all go towards our allocated server space and so making some of the features very limited.
If the site gets popular enough, I will pay for a proper message board software like vBulletin or something like that, along with proper paid hosting but that wouldn't be for a long time and certainly not unless we get more members.
Will check it out and get back to you.
Thanks for the heads up
Take care
Kiera

Just checked, I can't even do it myself.
Needs some more probing...will let you know
On the other hand - I fixed the smilies not being seen properly when not logged in! :)

Kiera, vBulletin!!`?
Nothing wrong with staying with this software, not unless your already thinking of building a RIVAL lol.
Maybe when we have a 1000 members we should review it :)
As my mechanic says 'it aint broke!'

Just an idea. I think it would be worth it but hey, if not, then that's cool.
I just get a bit frustrated with the restrictions on this one.
How and ever, it is still REALLY cool for what is available out there so I suppose you're right. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But know this, I wouldn't create a rival site. That is NOT going to happen

Thanks for figuring it out Kiera! :D Now I'm gonna mess around with it in just a bit. B)
As for other messageboards, I've heard about www.excoboard.com (http://www.excoboard.com). I don't know how good it is, but it might be worth looking into if you guys ever decide to move from this one. :)

you move from this forum, i'll have to change every link on my site,, you know how painful that is! lol.... oh well...if it's for the better of the forum, though it's going to be hard to ring up all the already registered members to be convinced to join again, unless the forum has been around for quite some time and made it into most of our hearts.
