I just bought Aimee Mann's "Lost In Space" and it is the first and only Aimee album I own or have ever heard, and it is AMAZING!!!! I still can't really hear any difference in the tone of each song, which is normal for me. In a couple more listens, I'll get it. I was curious if there were any other fans on the forum.

Don't know much of her work but she has always reminded me of Janis Joplin.

I think she is a bit too 'out there' for me. Perhaps I just don't 'get her' but I like some of her stuff and liked it.

That website is so funny. I never noticed that she says 'baby' alot.

Kiera, you NEED to buy "Lost In Space", I don't think its 'out there' but maybe her other work is. I think you would like it. Shes like a mix between Jewel and Sarah McLachlan. I found it on amazon for about 12 dollars, and the ironic thing is i found it on ebay for like $15.

OK everyone knows I love Aimee Mann as well as Jewel, today for whatever reason I went to her website (mainly to check the progress of her upcomign Christmas album that I am excited about) and I was looking at her message board (it's a forum actually) and I have looked at it before but for whatever reason I decided to join it today and as I was reading through posts I noticed a lot of hate on that forum, it's not like the JKF at all.
They had a post about whcih songs you hate the most and I was like ok.. first of all they were naming songs that I love so I was all blown away and then on some posts it was like war was going on between people and I mean very explicit and uncool.
I am thankful that the JKF is a place of love and acceptance... I don't even think I am going to go back and check up on that forum again. People on there act like they are better.... UNCOOL. I LOVE YOU GUYS @ THE JKF!!

Yes but you couldnt be warm and fuzzy just by me, if YOU hadn't made the JKF possible then I wouldn't have been so happy to find cool people and a place of love not hate and I wouldn't have been able to say how awesome the JKF is and then you wouldn't have been warm and fuzzy! Thanks Kiera, for all you do, really :) And for working so hard to bring the forum back to us after all that BS with the backups and all :)
