and which led to the infamous quote from Robbie's driver:
"So you're the girls from the car that followed us here..."

ELO...classic group without a doubt!!! dont mind them meself ;)
And Andrea...i guess your a MASSIVE fan of Godsmack eh... :P hehe!!!
My particular fav band member would have to that of the great Fenriz from Norwegian Black Metal band 'Darkthrone':
http://home.zcu.cz/~psutak/subdir/images/fenriz3.GIFhttp://www.tartareandesire.com/bands/images/neptunetowers.jpg
The amount of bands this guys run is incredible...and still he keeps producing black, viking metal bands, side projects and is also guest drummer or vocalist for other bands.....very busy man!!!

 ya, i like them (Godsmack) alot, though i really think that if i had to choose just one musician to call my all around favorite, it would be Ian Anderson, from Jethro Tull. there is a band that has been around forever (granted with var. different members, Ian being an original), and yet they still put out new music, still draw younger crowds and unlike Keith Richards, Ian doesnt look like someone dug him up out of a crypt :P
besides, i mean, what other band has a wicked cool flute player who stands on one leg and snorts?
lol, i rest my case

I love Metallica, James Hetfield to be precise. He's cool. They are my favourite band. Though my other half looks a bit like a younger Lars, James is still cooler.
I know Metallica have gone a bit dweeby in the last 10 years but They'll always be my favourite band

 lol@kiera, well i guess dweeby or not apparently alot of people still like them, so i guess that doesnt make you dweeby by association :D
oooh, Fenriz looks like he wants to suck some blood or something :D
hey a vampire smiley would be cool ( i have been reading Anne Rice lately, can ya tell? )

my favorite band member is Amy Lee of Evanescence. Sure she might have had some choice things to say about Jewel's awkward fall into pop, but who wasn't thinking them?
http://blogia.com/nievevoladora/upload/Evanescence%20-%20Amy%20Lee%20015.jpg
Not only is she beautiful
http://cyberpunk.pardey.org/vu/blog2004mar/amy4.jpg
She has an amazing voice, and beautifully written songs.

I know this is favorite band members...and I have one, however he has passed away. Terome 'T-Bone' Hannon. Was Jewel's bass guitarist ...he was so entertaining to watch and I had the pleasure of meeting him at Humphrey's when they filmed the dvd. What a genuine person...he is sorely missed. I have pics of him at that concert on the Humphreys page of my site. http://angeljo.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/tbhjewel2.jpg

oh oh - jumps up and down!!
Amy Lee :omg: how could i forget her, totally agree Kyle if ever there was one women who could float my boat....apart from angeljo :P it would be amy lee. She's such a lovely person i could put jam all over her and lick it all off.....oh sorry wrong board lol.
And totally agree with you Jo, Terome 'T-Bone' Hannon such a talent - he will always be missed. Isnt it strange that singers like Terome, Eva Cassidy, Kirsty Mc'all, Freddy mercury, John Lennon and others like them had so much more to give and all there lives were reletivley short.

Well i suppose some of yaw av been wonerin, what the hell Black Metal is all about??? or maybe you just dont give a hoot :P either way..just thought i'd put in some of my other fav band members that i also think that are influential towards the extreme metal scene, and a small and short link; HERE (http://swear-alternative.com/news.asp?do=0&id=25&group=34&new=74) about the scene...coz i'm always muttering on about this sort of thing..although nobody on here but myself is into it :P
Also some more of my fav band members that rule within this type of music genre!!!
Firstly Kjetil Haraldstad known to the world of Black Metal as Frost from 'Satyricon' and '1349'
http://www.akkords.ru/s/satyricon/3938.jpghttp://satyricon.battlegrim.net/img/gallery/frost/big/frost01.jpg
Amazing Drummer at such INCREDIBLE speed!!! if there was ever a drumming speed race Frost would beat anyone!!!!! My m8 Steve has met this guy *lucky sod* unfortunatly i have'nt :(
Secondly i think this dude from the band 'Gorgoroth' is the most evil guy in the world...arrested in 94 after being part of the Satanic Terrorists in Norway after burning down several churches and attemted murder + more (sounds mad i know, but loads of bad things happened there back then)...beside, he's an excellent guitarist, and a dark presence on stage, this is Infernus;
http://home.online.no/~jmyksvol/gallery/various/various_02.jpg
You would'nt beleive it, but i'v had a few beers with this guy in Bergen back in 97!
This guy 'Nattefrost' is another nasty peice of work..singer/guitarist from 'Carpathian Forest'
http://home.online.no/~tchort/nattefrost1.jpg
..and again had quite alot of beers with this sick minded man in the 'Elm St Rock Cafe' in Oslo with me chums!!! :D
Sometime's this type of music can just go waaay to far and this is what happens
http://forums.theundergroundscene.net/view...7925ac4a56eb586 (http://forums.theundergroundscene.net/viewtopic.php?t=233&sid=1f74be5604050bb8a7925ac4a56eb586) ....poor old Immortal their music was excellent, but they are no more
Despite all this Corpse Paint, Armour, and Inverted Crosses its seen its days of blast beats and yelling Satan 666 every to often, its more musical these days, of old pagan myths etc...back in 1993 till 95 churches across Norway were burnt and Satanic ritual's were common, amidst the brutal murders that had shaken the populace, Varg of Burzum killed a fellow band member stabbing him 30 times in the head! he's still in jail, and Bard Faust from Emperor killed a homosexual stabbing him 38 times and now his a free man..saw him last year in Oslo...a changed man now
.....Most dont beleive i'm a Jewel fan (i just dont tell them) ;)

I love it, thanks europe!
That reminds me... I was in hot topic buying gargoyle figurines for in my fish tank (i think you can see them in the picture of my fish) anyway, some preppy girl walks in and she says:
"It's not halloween... This place scares me a little, <insert annoying tee-hee girl laugh here>."

they have some really cool stuff. I have so many pins from there... well actually i have like 5 or 6, some of my friends are covered in them though.
Oh, they're doing this charity thing there. It's one of those wrist band things, it's all black and it says, "Music = Life." It supports music education and which is totally worth the donation of $1.

and explain to me more of what this 'Dark Topic' shop is meant to be about, does it sell a sort of dark/gothic goodies of all sorts???

You've never heard of it I take it??!
It's called Hot Topic, and yes they sell a bunch of dark gothic type things. It's my favorite store at the mall.
I don't know if there are any franchises in europe... that's kind of interesting since the whole gothic style came from europe.
