Some love 80's music, some 90's, some 60's so which would you choose.

Well...... I was born in 1991, so there's really only one decade I can choose.....

You make me feel old...I am 10 years older than you.
However I know what you mean. I was born in '81 and although most of my friends would prefer early 90's music, I am very much an 80's person.

I've gone for the 90s... I was born in 1983. To be honest, I probably listen to most music from the 00s at home, but when I'm with friends on an evening out I love early 90s dance and also a fair bit of the 80s stuff :D Pop music was so much better in the 90s too, there wasn't so much of the arrogant urban/RnB that there is around now... I know pop music isn't exactly "credible" but with the exception of Girls Aloud, there's so few catchy - and long-lived - pop acts around nowadays. Yes, I love Girls Aloud. Apologies ;)

darn it, i had to choose between the 70's rock and the 90's grunge, however since i still have bunches of Jethro Tull cd's and don't really listen to Nirvna, Pearl Jam or any of those guys, i had to choose the 70's.
but, it was almost a hard decision!

I can't choose only one decade.
I like 50s, 60s and 70s Rock, but I also like stuff from the 20s and 30s and okay 40s also :D
What I don't like very much are the 80s and 90s :P

Yeah Bobby thanks for that. Way to make a person feel even older! Not married yet but finally set a date!
Anyway, I know it can be hard to choose one decade. I adore 60's and 70's music too. I often feel I was born in the wrong time, like I should have been born in the 40's or 50's so I could have appreciated the 60's or 70's as a teenager. Perhaps I was in a past life but I grew up on a lot of that stuff so I was torn between those 2 decades and the 80's.
When it came down to it, I know more of the 80's stuff and have memories of when they first came out and the whole 80's thing when it was fresh and new. I get very nostalgic about it.

Well being that i'm a 30yo chump, born in 1975...and being a youth throughout the 80's i never had any understanding of music back in that day, as most youngsters dont right up to this day...they all just follow the trend as i did kinda!?
anyway, i always liked 'The Police', 'Ultravox', 'Kate Bush' and 'Tears For Fears', 'Roxy Music', etc nothing wrong with them...they were good :P its was'nt until i got a weeeeee bit older until i discovered all the older tunes ie: "the 1960's" that era alone had to be the greatest time for music ever!!!! all about expressing yourself unlike never before, enjoying what the power of music is all about (lets forget the drugs eh sshhh!) like The Doors, Hendrix, Hair, Stones, The Who....and loooooads more...such timeless stuff, within a decade of war, flower power, civil unrest, and change

:omg: :bang:
for some reason i classed the doors etc in with 70's,
can i change my vote????
ya, i like the Police alot too, i remember my aunt Patty ALWAYS listened to them!
lol, i used to really like Tears for Fears
though, the thought of you listening to them seems a little umm, different, maybe you should do a death metal remix of all those old faves of yours

Hmmm...must admit that got me thinking, although i'v always hated classic songs remixed!!!
a tough one is Tears For Fears...songs like my favorite one of theirs 'Shout'!?!? god knows what that would sound like :P and 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World'...could change that to 'destroy the world' lol
Kate Bush's 'Wuthering Heights' would just sound lik Zepplins 'Immigrant Song'
Honestly tho', i love them all just the way they are!!! my absolute favorite 70's-80's artist would just have to be 'The Police' & 2nd would be 'Blondie'....amidst the likes of Fleetwood Mac,Eurythmics,Depech Mode,David Bowie,Duran Duran,Spandau Ballet,T-Rex,Human League, and Queen...and from them i turned to the world of Rock...like The Cult...
...Then the dark whispers of evil took my hand and dragged me into the Darkness into the world of extreme metal...and the rest they say is history!!!

Man after my own heart. I love everything you just mentioned there.
I could add a huge list beyond that too but that could take some time
