So from what i read
here (http://www.kensei-news.com/cetc/publish/electronic_entertainment/article_31515.shtml)
Jewel is going to have 3 acoustic tracks on a CD available only at starbucks. Don't worry i'm pretty sure you can buy it online too after August 3.
Here's the tracks...
Intuition, Louisa and her Blue Guitar (which I don't even have a good version of) and the Other Woman.
It's really wierd how I only found out about this from CMGROVES's Pieces of UK website. It's truly the best Jewel fansite out there.

Scott on the EDA list (he was the owner of the ever so popular Planet Jewel site) posted about this on the 25th. He said he works at Starbucks, in case you're wondering how he got to hear it so early:
when your local starbucks gets the xm radio series 1 cd, GET IT.
jewel's three songs are amazing.
intuition
louisa and her blue guitar (!!)
the other woman
they're all acoustic, and the other woman is a capella. louisa is
AMAZING. i've waited SO long for a studio quality version of the song.
i'm not disappointed.
i'm so lucky to hear these songs all day as i make coffee. :D

I wish there was a Starbucks close by. :( The first and only one I've ever been to is about a 5 hour drive from here.

We don't have it here. It was supposed to open somewhere here last October but something happened and they still aren't here. Pity. From the coffe I have drunk from there in London....yum yum

I'm going in two days to get it. The closest starbucks to where I live is only about half an hour so it's not too bad. It's not like driving 2 hours just to get the christmas cd at bestbuy. ^_^

Jewele and the worldls largest coffee house..??? Hmmm harkening of her past with a bit of commercialism in it..I love it! Lol. On topic of Starbucks has anyone tried the new Green Tea Frappucino? IT IS DISGUSTING! I love tea and Starbucks, in their fashion it seems, has ruined it with this tea/milk shake hybrid. THough I do have a liking toward the tea/lemonade drinks!
But anyways the cover song Jewel will sing on the cd, 'The Other Woman," I saw her perform that song live in Wallignford, CT. It was great it was like listening to an old radio broadcast her voice matched the mood of the song well.

OMG.......
All this time I thought tracy chapman was a guy. LOL
Anyhoo, the cd is really good. It's the first time I heard such a good version of Louisa and Her Blue Guitar. It sounds like one of her old hippie-innerchange-songs and it's really obscure so I have to listen to it a few more times, but it's awesome. I love that she's digging into her notebook and pulling out these old songs.

I just picked up the cd today before work. It's great to hera some stuff from Jewel with the looming dry spell before the release of her new album. I like the acoustic version of "Intuition" very sliky and plays well considreing the up beat nature of it. Louisa and Her Blue Guitar is a firts for me but who knows i may have heard it at a previous ocncert and just never knew the title. "The Othre Woman" is just like how I remember it when I saw her perofmr it though she was accompanied by a piano. Very Jazzy.

Ughh.... Europeans have to be so law-biding
I could just send you the MP3s.... I ripped it onto my computer as soon as I got it out of the shrink wrap.
Oh yeah... did anybody else think that Tracy Chapman's songs were a man singing? I was soo confused. :(

Well that would be great Kyle. My friend said she is too far from a Starbucks. About an hours drive (she lives in the sticks of Seattle). I would be happy to send you the money for the CD and it's delivery. Let me know how much the total is and I'll send you a bankers draft.
Thanks a mil!

I really don't need any money for it and it can't cost that much to ship it. Just PM me an address, and I'll send it as soon as I can... after all I do work for the Post office. ;)
