I'm an occassional lurker, and thought I'd post about Jewel's show last night in Minnesota.
The setlist was similar to the ones posted on her website. The spontaneous songs were Long, Slow, Slide (which she introduced by talking about her new album and saying she would play us some new stuff - I'm not sure if that means this will be on the new album, since its definitely not new), Carnivore, Sometimes it be that way, Alice in Wonderland, umm, that's all I remember. Steve Poltz showed up, and they did I though I saw you last night and YWMFM and told the Mexico story together.
She also played the new song "Good Day". I didn't find the lyrics rap-like like a previous poster, but I did think they were a little, um, cheesy? But it was fun and uplifting and I think it will sound cool with a band.
Overall, it was a really fun show. She was in a good chatty mood and her voice sounded awesome as always.

Thanks a Million overthere for posting this! I love hearing about the shows. It is better than being completely out of the loop when she is on tour and I can't see her.
Brilliant info glad to see you had a great time. She sang all my fave's of hers: Long Slow Slide, Carnivore, Sometimes it Be that Way.
Did she sing Stephenville TX or 1000 miles away too?
And Steve showed up...what a bonus.
Oh God I wish I was there!

Since you asked, here is the setlist as best I can remember it. I'm sure the order is partly wrong, but I think all the songs are there.
(By the way, I'm not a lad - just an old school chick fan)
Somewhere Over The Rainbow (a capella),
Near You Always
Long, Slow Slide
Bob Dylan story - Sometimes It Be That Way
Hands
Alice in Wonderland
Carnivore
Standing Still
Good Day
Foolish Games
Break Me
Stand
Social Anxiety Disorder story - Intuition
Jewel asked a guy in the audience for a piece of gum
Steve Poltz comes out
They told a story about one of Jewel's early shows that went really bad. It was already going bad, so Jewel thought she'd sing her latest single - Foolish Games. The drummer (maybe the Rugburns drummer, I couldn't tell) was on painkillers and drunk, and told Jewel he could play Foolish Games on piano. They started the song, he was in the wrong key and spent most of the song trying to figure out how it went. Needless to say, the show bombed. Steve was cracking up the whole story.
I thought I saw you last night (J&S)
Medical career (just Steve)
Mexico Story with Steve
You Were Meant For Me (J&S)
Steve leaves
Story about sounding like Kermit on POY
Who Will Save Your Soul
Encore:
Per la Gloria D'adorarvi
Chime Bells
I'm pretty sure that's it.
It was funny listening to the teenagers who were obviously fans only since 0304 after the concert - they weren't too impressed with the yodeling.
No 1000 miles away or Stephenville. I wanted to here Everything Breaks or Rosy and Mick - but no luck there either (not that I'm complaning).
Other interesting (?) tidbits:
Still saying the album will be in February
the bangs were pushed to the side
likes "Icebreakers" gum
