A Real New Song/humphreys Concerts

Hey at Humphreys in San Diego last week she did a really new song called Good Day. It was hard to describe it because it had rap like lyrics sung fast during the chorus and verses that were almost spoken over her guitar part. She said it was on her new album and was hard to play it solo. It was catchy for sure but seemed more like an 0304ish kind of song more than old style Jewel. I liked it but it was very different than the other recent songs. Steve Poltz came on both nights and that was great and they told the mexico story which was funny as hell because they told it together for like 20 minutes! Did anybody happen to tape these shows other than her crew? I saw video cameras running and the lighting guy told me they were recording but he didn't say it was for the album or anything.[

Well if it was 0304ish then that may end up being the first single.
why I don't know but do you remember like any of the lyrics.

Proabaly recording for something I am sure. Anyway I look foward to seeing Jewel I wonder if this song will be performed with the orchestra.

ughmm, im gonna prey for sure that theres nothing remotly rap or hip hop about Jewels new material :unsure:

but anyway, most artists play a differant track from there new albums, at each show......so hopefully we'll here some new differant tunes as she tours the states!?

thinking of Jewel rapping makes me think of that song by Blondie--was it Heart pf Glass? if memory serves me, i think that Blondie was the first mainstream white female pop artist to do a rap...
but i could be wrong, its been a while (like 10 years) since i saw that vh1 special! :dunno: :)

Blondie doing rapish type stuff!? oooooohhhh nooooo i'll hear none of it!!! :P
the 'Heart of Glass' song was Blondies first major pop song of the late 70's early 80's and is infact very similar with 'Sunday Girl'....so brilliant she was too...still a big fan today :D
As for Jewel though! she prolly doing something like what that errr Shania Twain (prolly spelt wrong)! ...did with country music, i.e turning it her own way in a folk/pop mix thingy!?....anyway we'll see, i guess :wacko:
