On the 3rd of February, there was a press release....Star Trek's 'Enterprise' has been axed.
I am so disappointed. What an excellent show. A way to find out how the federation became of itself. But sadly, it has been cancelled half way through the filming of the 3rd series.
Very sad about this news :(
I may be the only one who cares but hey, I needed to share.

I will miss it too, but perhaps they will not cancel it if there is enough fan backlash. It's happened before. Weren't they going to cancel it a year or so ago too? Even if they do cancel it I would expect another spinoff. Perhaps a new show featuring Phlox getting his own medical starship and traveling around distributing leeches to distant worlds in order to prevent a galacy-wide outbreak of nasty space diarrea. Star Trek is too successful to die.
I love Star Trek Enterprise, but threre's only so much you can do with the same basic plot:
1) The crew is happy.
2) Crap happens (The big three: space anomaly, aliens possess somebody, or evil race of ugly aliens try to steal something they've got).
3) Mechanical malfunctions *almost* kill everybody (Every notice that every time they need something that system is "Offline").
4) In the last 5 minutes somebody gets a bright idea. (For example: "Divert all power from the latrines to the forward phaser array, decouple the plasma conduits, and everybody put on a rain coat because the alien scanners can't see through rubber and things might get messy.")
5) Everybody's happy again (And two crew member will *almost* sleep together).
Hey I've been a trekkie for years, but I've never worn a phaser or went to a convention. :P

Well, I don't watch Star Trek, but I do like to watch episodes of Red Dwarf on You Tube or Veoh--I don't remember which!

Sci-Fi done right for me is "Firefly" or the movie spin-off "Serenity"
