^_^ ya, here's one for all you football junkies

i just went to my first soccer match last night, and must admit i loved it, it was alot of fun! though i must admit that the british fans seemed to be having the most fun of all! i think they were chanting at the other team something about being a princess, and they couldnt even score in a brothel... :D

B) cool...glad you found it fun,coz thats what the sport is meant to be about (unlike some fans think) some just go to oppose the other fans and fight etc! British football hooligans are the worst, and as good as Italian football is there just as bad...but all in all there worthless, pityful dweebs, with no life!!!
Im a massive fan of FC Bayern M?nchen a german side i know, but i'v followed the Bundesliga for years now...Bayern won this season yet again beating FC schalke 04 2-1 and lifted the DFB German Cup in Berlin !!!***wOOt***!!! :D :clapjoy: Bundesliga Champions 2005

and btw...which teams did you watch play?

^_^ the wilmington hammerheads and the cincinatti--i dont know! lol, i favor the hammerheads for now since i live near wilmington, but i have to root for the new hampshire team, since that is my home state. i need to learn the rules of soccer, it has been ages since i went to a match-high school to be exact, but it is alot more fun in person :bananarock:

Hey here's something you probably didn't know.

Here in Ireland, if you're in Dublin and you say football, then it means the kind of football Dave and Meat are into. In Ireland, down the country away from the 'Big Smoke' football is Gaelic and Soccer is the kind that Dave and Meat are into.

Kind of like how American football is one thing and yet soccer is always soccer.

ooooooooo,lol....i think your dicing with death taking the micky outta good ole Chelsea there ladys :P there a team to reckoned with on the pitch!!! prolly one of the best sides in the premiership at the moment!

and about football chants! heres a tongue twister for ya...this is what alot of Bayern fans sing, Bonnie Tyler's "It's a heartache" is given new words to insult Borussia Dortmund players "Ihr seid Borussen, asoziale Borussen. Ihr schlaft unter Br?cken oder in der Bahnhofsmission", which translates approximately to "You are Borussians, anti-social Borussians. You sleep under bridges or in hostels for the homeless".......pretty lame i know, but there's lots of 'ole ole ole' after that, sounds alot differant when 30-40,000 fans are singing it!
There are better ones than that,i just eerrr dont know em!?and English footy songs are the best at slagging off rival fans and players

lol, that was more a shot at dave than chelsea :D
whistles to self, and looks about innocently

ya, i think like every british/irish fan there is in the wilmington area were over behind the oppositions bench chanting insults at them, it was great, they even had a drum, the most catchy chant was something about cincinatti being princess'
---you're a princess---thats all i caught

My dad is a Chelsea supporter, my fiance is a Liverpool supporter. They both work together so they see each other all day. Needless to say there have been comments back and forth. I am, of course, piggy in the middle so I will just stay out of it. Funny how seriously they are taking it though.

But I think it's a tough call.

England v Northern Ireland aye i watched it, i'll admit it, i hate watching England play they just dont look a winning side...although they've got quality players on the pitch...there just not the same as watching say like, Italy,Germany,or Brazil, you know those sides are gonna create chances and possibly get a goal. With England...you'll never know until the games over!!!
But hats off to Northern Ireland they deserved to win that game i think.
Took you long enough..... :P ;)

Hey I'm an Ireland supporter!!!! Not Northern Ireland though it was good to see them win for a change!

Ireland did crap too. Looks like we're missing out on another World Cup.

The difference between the Ireland and England football teams is that Ireland know their crap. :P

Hmmm!?...to be honest i'v never liked the guy, he just dont get involved with the game does he!? he dont seem to comunicate with the players on the field...everyone else on the bench does!!!
Despite that tho' you cant count out his past record with the squad....he's done well with them. He's made England a good passing side now, better than they were, but there attack aint bugger all no more.......somethings wrong somewhere!?
There a very boring side to watch i'v found of late  -_-

100 % for Chelsea
Maximum of points : 38*3 = 114

How many points will Chelsea have at the end of the season ?
My prediction :
- Losts : 0
- Draws : 4 (against Newcastle, Tottenham, Man Un, and Liverpool)
- Wins : 34

-> 34*3+4*1 = 106 points

This topic caught my eye and reminded me of the bloody soccer hooligans in the movie Eurotrip. Makes me laugh just thinking about it!

AND...

I just have to say that footy is awesome! I grew up with 3 brothers so I of course joined in the game and have loved it ever since! Being able to be rough with the boys and slide tackling hehe

Never could warm to the sport myself. Not sure why exactly. I played it a lot as a kid and got really involved in Italia 90 coz Ireland were actually IN that World Cup and didn't do that bad!!! But I grew out of that when the harsh reality of Ireland's crap football playing hit home.

God Is Back
LIVERPOOL MAKE SHOCK FOWLER SWOOP
BBC 27 January 2006

Manchester City striker Robbie Fowler has made a surprise return to his former club Liverpool.

The 30-year-old striker, who has joined Liverpool for the rest of the season, made his debut for the Reds as an 18-year-old in 1993.

He scored a total of 171 goals in 330 games for the Anfield side.

"Liverpool are his dream club and he wanted to leave and rejoin them," Eastlands boss Stuart Pearce said on his club's website.

Pearce added: "If I refused him this opportunity of fulfilling his ambition it would not be good for him or Manchester City Football Club. We wish him well for the future and thank him for his efforts."

Fowler moved to Leeds in 2001, before former City boss Kevin Keegan spent ?6m to take him away from Elland Road in February 2003.

Injuries have hampered his career at Eastlands, but he recently scored a hat-trick against S:censored::censored::censored::censored:horpe in the third round of the FA Cup and also scored against Manchester United in City's 3-1 victory.
