I can see where you're coming from with the whole Folkie/Guitar thing, but I think they're personalities are almost opposites. I don't know too much about Dolly, but I know that she's way more into the commercial aspect of music; whereas, Jewel promotes a more honest/realistic kind of music. I don't know... interesting topic though.
