Yeah, I hope there's some bonus material. 11 tracks isn't much, but I guess it's the norm now with the crazy music industry. I'm sure they would include a bonus track or two....she's done this on previous albums. Sometimes they'll also release albums to different stores that have different bonus songs or other material on them. That would be cool too. I'd be heading to all of the stores just to get the extra stuff! :fraggle1: (And that's exactly why record labels do that....more sales!)

I can't read the blog...though I had this feeling they would use GAINW pics, I was hoping they wouldn't but I guess my intuition was right! They would have done the photoshot by now, but Jewel is bussy with the radio tour so I guess they didn't have time.

Interesting tracklist...I think she is going to put one song from 0304 on every album she does in the future so everyone appreciate 0304 more!:P

I was thinking the same thing about the color scheme for "This Way" and considering it's a like a link to her album since it was a bit country themed. Black and white and baby blue color scheme just scream Jewel it seems?
I'm not sure of the track list except I think it's too short. But who knows maybe the quality of the songs will blow us away (assuming they aren't too country sounding).....

Thanks for posting ! All tracks are great ones. Okay why only eleven ? I heard from an artist, that they only get paid for 11-12 tracks... Maybe that's the reason. And for the photo, I guess Valory didn't have the ressources to offer Jewel a photoshoot. With all the sales of the album, they will !

Anyway, "Perfectly Clear" is yet known... Almost ! Can't wait til June.

I'm confused by track number 5 and 10. Track number 5 is Anyone But You and 10 is Loved By You ( cowboy waltz ). I just went to jeweljk.com
and listened to Loved By You ( cowboy waltz ) and I think it is just anybody but
you retitled which is obviously almost the same title as anyone but you. Does anyone here know if they are two different versions of the same song? Or are they different songs?

They are 2 different songs.
"Loved by You (Cowboy Waltz)" = "(I Don't want to be loved by) Anybody but you"
"Anyone but You" is a new song
There is also "Angel (Cowboy Waltz)" Which is very similar to "Loved by You(Cowboy Waltz)" but is not on the album.

Also I think "Til it feels like cheating" that just sounds like the name of a hit country song

I think Love is a Garden should be the next single from what I've heard. Sounds a bit like YWMFM and is a total country song, love it! I guess we'll have to hear the studio cuts and decide then. I'm really excited. I mean, how will Thump, Thump sound in the studio? So weird.

Not always the case about the 4 singles thing
Nelly Furtado released 6 singles In the United States from her latest album
and only the first 3 were hits
But All good things come to an End, In god's hands and Do IT
didn't really see much action and they all got released anyway
Plus she has 2 spanish songs that got released, if you wanna be picky and count those that is 8 singles from one album.

Nelly Furtado isn't the only artist to release mutliple singles now granted her first 3 from that album were massive hits
Look at Avirl Lavigne who is on her 4th single with the only real succesful song being from her album "Girlfriend" When your gone didn't even crack the top 20 and "Hot" failed to be that and "The best damn thing" I have yet to hear

I think im making my point here i can continue with more examples though but we'd be here all day

I don't see why Jewel can't have multiple singles from this album
Stronger Woman may not be a massive #1hit yet but I think the song really exceded everyone's expectations, so it should be perfectly clear that she has a few more singles wether they are hits or not

Yes they all had hit singles but there have been other artists on numerous occasions who have had 4 singles with only 1 or 2 hits both in country and pop Like i said before nelly furtado, grethcen wilson,

The Dixie Chicks had released many singles since there anti-bush statements which i backed 100% because it was very true
Their latest effort "Taking the long way" I think may of produced 5 singles and none of them made any impact on the country chart. The only hit song from the record was "not ready to make nice" which did better on the pop charts.

So you don't have to have hit's to release multiple singles. We can only hope she does. Hopefully this label is better than Atlantic and will actually market her the right way.

Ashanti and Disturbed are really her only competetion for the albums chart. Ashanti is R&B and Disturbed is Rock. Ashanti has always had pretty big debuts...I think all three of her albums debut at #1? Usher is releasing his new CD the week before, so it will probably remain in the Top spot the week Jewel releases. She will debut at #1 in country and probably remaing for a few weeks...there are no big releases coming in country. Lady Antabellum debuted at #1 a few weeks ago with 44,000 copies... Jewel should sell twice as much opening week. You never know though...
