Aw Dave you have a high capacity for caring? :)
That's a great personality description

People of this type tend to be: quiet, reserved, and kind; deeply passionate, sensitive, and easily hurt; loving and dedicated to those close to them; creative, original, and imaginative; curious and flexible in small matters; nonconforming
The most important thing to INFPs is their deeply held beliefs and living in harmony with their values
Wow :)

You definitely strike me as an "action" kind of guy Kyle ^_^
People of this type tend to be: active, adventurous, and impulsive; talkative and curious; casual, adaptive, and free spirited; logical and calm but capable of great humor, fun, and charm; observant and totally present in the moment, literal and practical
The most important thing to ESTPs is the freedom to have fun and to fully experience life in the here and now

And for ENTP
People of this type tend to be: friendly, charming, and outgoing; quick-witted, energetic, and irreverent; ingenious, imaginative, and creative; curious, flexible, and unpredictable; logical and analytical
The most important thing to ENTPs is being creative, seeing possibilities, and always having new challenges
Well you've got the best of both worlds ^_^

And Mike I can definitely see how the world primarily exists to be understood ;)
That's a great curious quality

People of this type tend to be: quiet, independent, and private; logical and unemotional; creative, ingenious, and innovative, global thinkers; curious and driven to increase their competence; casual, and adaptive; nonconforming and unpredictable
The most important thing to INTPs is their privacy and the opportunity to solve complex problems in unique ways

Mike isn't your real name?
Then you totally cheated me in the names thread! But I understand that, I've used a different name for a while as well. Until I got used to message boards ^_^
By the way Mike there's a negative part to the type
They are curious, independent, and strong willed, but also tend to be reticent to share their emotions, fears, or worries. While they are creative, logical, and innovative, they are also usually critical, argumentative, and ignore rules or authority
Heh I just thought it reminds me of someone :P

Mike is my real name. I post it here because I have always used it in the Jewel forums. In other forums (political, other music, ...) that I participate in like Yahoo groups and such I use a totally fake name.

"critical, argumentative, and ignore rules or authority" I thought you said there was a negative part. I don't ignore rules of authority. I pay careful attention to rules so I can surf along the edge. I'm a rule bender not a rule breaker. ;) :P

Thank you, that's awfully kind of you.

It seems to fluctuate, these test results. I know the one I took with the psychiatrist a few years ago was quite involved and "pinned" me as an iNFj.

I've tried a few times these on-line tests. Usually I come up as iNFj, sometimes even as an iNFp. This is the first time I've seen the result as ISFJ.

But perhaps it's just that as personal growth and personal circumstances progress with age, personal temperaments may be cyclical....like a piece of wood being abraded with time, various elements of the wood become exposed and highlighted.

And I agree with that Georger ^_^ Also more than anything else I think these tests analyze your mood- but it's still a window on who the person is
There are some personality traits that you probably just won't agree with in the questionnaire ^_^ For example I know that no matter what my results will be the first letter is always going to be E :)
