Singer-songwriter Jewel's new single, "Stronger Woman," was released to country radio on Thursday (Jan. 17). It's her first single for her new label, Valory Music Co., based in Nashville. She will perform the song on Good Morning America: Weekend Edition on Feb. 10. The label will begin aggressively seeking airplay for "Stronger Woman" on Feb. 11. Jewel's new album, Perfectly Clear, is scheduled to be released on June 3

why is the first single being released months ahead of the album? I never understand that? By the time the album comes out the single would have died off and single number 2 will be released.

Country radio is usually very slow in picking up new songs. They are being very careful with this release. You can see they really want to make it work. They expect the song to reach it's full power in April/May and with the album coming in June, there will already be a lot of hype surrounding the release and people will all know she has a new country album coming out because she has a hit. Hopefully it will all work out just fine!

She may need the 2nd single out for people to definitely buy the album, just because of the fickle music industry these days.

I like so much the title "Perfectly Clear" because the "My country" title was so bored and hadn't attraction for the people.

Stronger Woman is a strong single :)... not such as Again and Again that i always thought that it was weak to promote de album (anyway is one of my favorites)

Jewel will make me sing all year long her new songs ! and im curious to know about how will sound the old songs "perfectly clear" or everything breaks !

yes but now its not sure if it will come on the new album! But she already tested it out on tv on regis & kelly last year, so i think it wil be on "perfectly clear". I heared something after goodbye alice in wonderland, that she planned to record rosy & mick too for the new album, wouldnt that be awesome?

Everything breaks would make a great hit..I wonder why she didn't put it on some album yet? It's one of those songs I would put in the same category as Foolish games and that one was a major hit...
Yes, Rosy and Mick is gonna be on the new album I think she even said that once...Anyway, I'm so happy for this new album! I think it might become my favorite as for now it is This way...
