I'm just curious because I've been hearing Jewel saying: "My favorite artist and album of all time is COLE PORTER'S Songbook."

Who has it or who's planning to get a copy of it?

I think she really admires Cole Porter's song writing... but I don't know that he sang much. I don't think Cole Porter was a singer- he was a prolific songwriter who wrote a lot of songs for other singers. A lot of my favorite old-school pop singers have sung songs by him- like Ella Fitzgerald, The Mills Brothers, Lena Horne, Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole.

Yep - this is the album she favours. I actually bought it years ago. Had it on vinyl from when my grandad had it but didn't have a record player so got it on CD. I have always loved Cole Porter songs and I agree with Jewel - Ella does them best

yeah i totally agree, i have a few cole porter cd's and ella deffo does them the most justice.

I learned a lot of Cole Porter's songs in junior high and high school in choir, and also we performed several plays that contained those songs too. They are classic songs that have really stood the test of time.
