Okay, I get really bored here sometimes, and I think this might be a way to have some more fun. So you can post any picture you have of yourself, the more embarassing the more fun.

I'll post first. This is taken of me when I was 3 or 4, everytime I come accross it in family albums it cracks me up.

This is one of the few pictures I have scanned. I can't post a picture of myself when I was little because our current scanner won't work and we don't have a new one yet. But, here I am:

That was taken after I graduated in 2002, but the only thing that's changed is my longer hair. :)

Alright, here's a picture of my brother Michael and I. This was taken at a motel on our way to Disney World in the summer of 1989. I was 5 and he was 7. This is one of my favorite pictures. :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/Angel_Eyes1984/mefriends/mikeandme.jpg

And here's my mom, sister Teresa and me. This was taken at my mamow's house in Tennessee. I was about 10 and my sister was about 14. In case you're wondering, I have naturally straight hair, but my mamow (who's a beautician) gave me a perm. Oh, and don't even ask what my sister is doing, because I don't remember.

Thanks Tracy. I picture you having an accent. Is that a fair guess? And what's a mamow? :bunnyjump:

Angel_Eyes

I have a little bit of an accent, but it's not as bad as the sterotypical Southern drawl, thank goodness. And, 'mamow' around here is 'grandmother'. :P

if these are classified as off topic, then you can call me on it, but i didnt want to start a whole new thread for them!

here are a couple of photographs of drawings i have done during my flower phase. these are done in colored pencil, and took about 4-6 hours over a period of a few days to do...
back in the day i probably woulda had em done in 3 hours straight

wow, those are really good drawings, it would have taken me weeks to do something like that. I sketched a picture of jewel and then painted it with water colors, I should scan it and post it on here. But I don't want to get made fun of... I'm a horrible painter, much better at sketching and skulpting than painting probably because of my vision.

Little Bird
07-24-2005, 09:15 PM
No one will make fun of you. And if they do...they'll have me to answer to.

I want everyone to feel they can share openly with us, their drawings, poems, songs etc without thought of ridicule.

I would love to see it Kyle.

Okay, here it is. The reason I shouldn't be allowed near a paint brush:
http://mercury.walagata.com/w/kjm030584/myjewelsketch.gif

Also here's one I'm particularly proud of. The way I scanned it you can't really see that I drew this with a black sharpi on a napkin when I went out to eat with my grandparents:

shut up! you did a really good job on that Jewel picture, i really like it! it has a very artsy feel to it, (i know, lame description, but its the best i can do right now!)
lol, i like your doodle, i am always doodling something! i used to have a little notepad in my purse and when i went places and had to wait i would quick sketch people, i usually gave them to the people so i dont have any of those sketches. i tell ya, for me it is really hard to do the painting, because i dont have as much control as i do with the pencils, but it can be fun to work around the little mistakes and incorporate them into something totally different than what you had in mind!

thanks for sharing!

Excellent painting by the way. Really seriously impressed!!!!!!!!

kjm030584

aww thanks for your kindness. I really don't think sketching is really that hard... Painting just takes such a high level of control that I don't have.

i have been trying my hand at pastels as well, i like them so far, but the hardest thing for me to get used to was not getting all the fine detail you can get with the pencil or even pen and ink.

i am currently working on a series of pictures for my good friend Kathy...it has been well over 2 years since she asked me...but the ideas are finally clicking and i am finally finding time to do them, i am really excited! can't wait till they are done!
i will have to post them as i finish

i finally found something useful to do with my computer besides chatting on forums...i have been printing out cards with my flower pictures on them, dont know why i never did that before!

Oi Kyle, dont ever diss your artwork again, its really good ;) i think you've done a good job on the painting pic! painting and colour have never been a particular favorite thing of mine to do in art & design anyway...and as for doodle drawings, there always a good thing to look at, kinda shows a persons character and thoughts at the time of there design.I think somewhere someone should open a doodle art gallery :P

Besides as i said a while back about my artwork...watch this space i should be able to get some pics in here by mid or end next week...you see this scanner is being a complete ass-monkey, and doing everything wrong  prolly coz i eerrrm kinda got a bit eerr angry with it and ...well sorta bashed it one...and now it does'nt like me for it :P but once i'v ripped out its black heart and given it a wet slap it'll learn the hard way :D

Well Hello Jonathan! I didn't know your name before that and I always like to refer to people by their real name.

Very cool pic too. Very relaxed and reflects your little description I feel. I didn't see the others as you have to sign up and that just annoys me. Although...interesting mix of friends there :) Love the Wanton Fooey pic! He looks mad.

Thanks for sharing!

Take care

*drool* tony is so...

lol, yup, that is my only claim to fame there, meeting them those 2 or so times. my friend kathy had followed them around new england back in the begining that they knew her by name. the last time i saw them live was the Manchester NH show just after sep. 11th. in fact we found out about the twin towers on our way to the Portland ME show that day, it was so surreal. the manchester show was so powerful though, they opened with Awake and Sully talked a little about how since the attacks the previous week, the song had taken on a whole new meaning for them, and they donated a large portion of the proceeds to help out in New York.
once we get the scanner hooked back up i will have to post some of the pics, there is a really funny one of my and my friend kathy in her car following Robbies tour bus, we are perfectly reflected in the bumper of the bus, we call it
"So your the girls from the car that was following us" picture
