How the Gardai (Irish Police) earn their money!

This has been all over Irish press and I, for one, think it's hilarious.

The guy on the phone that wants to speak to the sergeant apparently rings the station approximately 70-80 times a day and it clearly nuts. Anyway, it seems this particular Garda (policeman) has had enough and has decided to make fun of the man down the phone. It was recorded on a mobile phone by a fellow Garda from a Garda station in the countryside in County Cavan.

It's so stupid, but so funny, in my opinion. I have come across some nuts on the phone in my day, some were a bit like this guy.
At best, I know LouLou will like this, maybe Dave & Marc. Might not be something US members will get but I hope so.

I love it!!! That was one of my favourite things about the whole thing. Also, notice how the garda was saying No but yer man Brendan was saying Yes, then the Garda says yes and tricks him into saying No? He even threw a maybe in there somewhere.

Holy crap, that was hilarious! When I worked at the gas station in town there was this idiot that kept calling every day to get the winning lottery numbers, I'd read them off and he wouldn't even right them down, he was like, "okay, 1-9-19" then I would say the rest of the numbers and he would forget the first set, I used to be on the phone with him for up to a half hour.

I know it loses it's appeal after you watch it just once but I still nearly pissed myself laughing when I watched it first. There's war over it now though. All the officers involved are in big trouble and an investigation is now in place. I'm surprised the video is still up. LOL

Well it turns out that the Garda Commissioner is not taking it any further but has cautioned the officer. The locals in Cavan apparently found it quite funny and unless 'Mr. Campbell' himself wishes to logde a formal complaint, they're not taking it any further which is good.

Nice to see some authority figures can still take a joke.
