Last month Jewel flew to the remote town of Iglulik in northern Canada, which lies above the Arctic Circle, to perform a concert for Inuit teenagers as a favour for her friend Sam Branson (Richard Branson's son) who was on an expedition there to highlight global warming.

There's a video of Jewel performing Life Uncommon at http://www.globalwarming101.com/content/view/872/88889017/

What an awesome performance by Jewel!!!!!!! I can't wait to see her live someday!! If someone didn't tell me this was Life Uncommon, I wouldn't quite be able to tell (I mean that in a fantastic way of course!). She really improvs on this song here, and I love it so much!! She totally rocked this song! WOW!

Yet another great talent that Jewel has. I suppose, when the song is your own, you can play around with it any way you like. It's brilliant how she can totally make an old song sound so fresh and new just by singing it in a slightly different way.

Awesome! I guess it’s a good sign that the people of Texas haven’t warped her perspective into believing that global warming doesn’t really exist.:cheerleader:
