ALANIS GOING ACOUSTIC ON SUMMER TOUR

As exclusively revealed here last month, Alanis Morissette will embark
on her first acoustic tour this summer in support of a newly recorded
acoustic edition of her landmark 1995 debut album, "Jagged Little
Pill." The tour will begin June 7 in Toronto, to be followed by the
Maverick album six days later.

Gee, who else do I know touring acoustic on her summer tour? Maybe they should get together and do a show together! ;)

Do you have an url of where to hear a sample? I searched, but couldn't seem to find it. I read the CD's not due out until June on the 10th anniversary of the of the original release.

Somewhere I remember reading that Jason Mraz was on the bill for at least one concert.

I like her to a point. I once hear her refered to as "The Queen of Angry Chick Music." I'm only a part time fan and have not seen her in concert. I have bought a couple of her CD's and I like about half her stuff.

Is she not coming to Dublin because of any reason in particular? Did she trash talk the pope or something? :dunno:

She's not straying out of America by the looks of it. Most artists I like seem to have this lack of any urge to share with their European fans or their Irish ones at least.

I love her stuff so I would so love to see her. I remember she played here about 9 years ago with the JLP tour. I was still at school only working part-time and didn't have the cash to buy the tickets. So I missed out. I definitely won't the next time. If there ever is one.

I was wondering about World Tours by American artists. I'm going to start a thread on that issue...

It's from the MTV unplugged. I don't know if that's an official release or not other wise I'd upload it for your listening pleasure.

I really liked how in the celebrity death match between her and Jewel they referred to it as the ancient chinese battle between sweet and sour. I just really hate how Jewel died. Does anybody know if I can download that online? I'm really in the mood to see it again.

But yeah, I'm not a huge alanis fan, even though we have almost the same last name. I only like 2 or 3 of her songs.

Oh, I think I listened to a sound sample on a download site. Nice version.

I saw that celebrity death match - didn't Jewel's head explode? I never watch that show, but I did see that one. Ancient battle of the Sweet and Sour. lol. :P

I'm not sure where to download it, but I bet it's out there somewhere. Probably not in a typical Jewel's fan's collection, but I'm sure it's out there. ;)

you can listen to Ironic, Hands Clean, Precious Illusions, Head Over Feet acoustic from a french radio show :

I'm sure Mike and Justin won't have any problem understanding but for the others, "regardez la video" is a video of an interview, and if you just want to listen to the songs click on "ecoutez"

:)

Wow, all my french classes are coming back to me when I hear 'ecoutez' as it's what the teacher always told us to do. Not to mention 'Regardez la tableau noir' coz I wouldn't be paying attention.

Anyway, thanks for the link. I am going to listen to that when I'm in work to keep me entertained!

No, alanis throws jewel into the lights and she gets fried. Jewel gets some great hits in though, i like when alanis cuts herself open on Jewel's snaggle-tooth.

yah...i remember having a link for that on my ...... videos page linked to mtv.com...i'm sure the video is available online through p2p networks kjm - i've seen it listed....

i think they wanted jewel to die - i mean they totally loved alanis until they found out that she couldn't come up with anything brilliant after her first album (though i do like suppposed former infatuation junkie) -

this match was clearly dated before the spirit days - and they just happen to be the 2 most famous females of that time period
