hey guys....i had that song in my head....and if u haven't any brains to realize who sings it.... it's CHER!!!!!!!!!!!!

now i know some of u may not like cher (considering she's made completely of wax - at least that's what heavy.com is saying (teriyaki chops section - search - it's hilarious - but a bit unappropriate -rated M for mature))
but i think she's made great music! i bought the VERY BEST OF CHER and i love all of it mostly - even some of the old stuff - the woman is brilliant - anyone else have any thoughts? my fav. cher song is STRONG ENOUGH - though i like most of them as favorites! :wub:

also, the song has a topic that just has to be answered correctly (yes it's about cher too i know - but it's also about being lonely) - aren't i too good!!! - a topic on being lonely and how cher sings a song dedicated to those that are lonely....

i myself am single - and live in a dorm by myself - i miss my cats back home - not so sure the area - but it is lonely at times and sometimes when it's all overwhelming and i want to cry - i wish i was back home where i don't have to worry (well that's not completely true - but bear with me)

well yah...there u go..... a topic on cher and...for the heck of it - being lonely (so if u go off topic here - well -----goodluck if the OFF TOPIC warriors come running u down as though u back-talked to their mother :omg: !)

Topic 1: Cher. Has Cher ever finally ended her Farewell tour? I think she's passed through my town three or four times on the same tour! What's up with that?

Topic 2: Loneliness. As far as being lonely, I'm very satisfied with my family and friends. At this time in my life I'm not lonely at all. And as far as living in a dorm by yourself - how is that even possible? I lived in a dorm for two years and I would have killed for some loneliness! Parties every weekend usually in my room. Communal rest rooms. Just the smells were enough to gag you. And every weekend you had to watch your step so not to step in the disgusting things in the rest rooms. Dorm life was the pits and when I was a freshman we were forced to live three to a room with total strangers. Needless to say half of the guys they roomed me with were one step above monkeys and eventually dropped out.

Forced togetherness. It's NOT a good thing. :shock:

On the topic of Cher, I'm not a big fan, but I like some of her songs. I think I like more of her older songs though, like "Bang Bang", "Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves", "Half Breed", "Just Like Jesse James" and "The Beat Goes On". My mom loves her though and we're all the time teasing her about it lol. Not that it's a bad thing to like Cher, we just like joking with her. :P As for her movies, I really like "The Witches of Eastwick" and "Mermaids" :)


As for the lonely topic... I'm single myself, but lately I've seen people close to me have so many relationship problems that it seems to be too much work to be with anyone. Right now anyway. Other than that, I like being alone sometimes. Some people just tend to get on my nerves and I like doing things on my own time without having to worry about what someone else wants to do. It was bad in High School though, because I only had a few really good friends and when they missed school or a class that day, then I didn't have anyone to really hang out with. It's a small school so everyone pretty much knew who I was, but I guess because I'm so shy and quiet no one really took the time to get to know me. But, oh well, I'm pretty much over it now. :)
