Does anyone here enjoy thihs sound. I have always been fascinated with James Bond (maybe that's why I am in my current line of work, too many BOnd films as a young boy!). This is the new featured song from the 007 fiflm Casino Royale.

Let me know what you think....

If you take a life do you know what you'll give?
Odds are, you won't like what it is
When the storm arrives, would you be seen with me?
By the merciless eyes of deceit?

I've seen angels fall from blinding heights
But you yourself are nothing so divine
Just next in line

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die?

The coldest blood runs through my veins
You know my name

If you come inside things will not be the same
When you return to the night
And if you think you've won
You never saw me change
The game that we all been playing

I've seen diamonds cut through harder men
Than you yourself
But if you must pretend
You may meet your end

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die?

The coldest blood runs through my veins

Try to hide your hand
Forget how to feel
Forget how to feel

Life is gone with just a spin of the wheel
Spin of the wheel

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die?

The coldest blood runs through my veins
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name
You know my name

I never pay attention to the lyrics on this type of music (heck, I can't understand what they're saying). What I do know is that I like the singing style of Chris Cornell of Audioslave. It's probably better than some of the recent songs on the Bond series.

But generally speaking, there is nothing like the original Theme song.

Now as for the new Bond, I like this guy (sorry for the digression!). I thought that it would be hard to replace Pierce Brosnan, but this guy's rough image is a nice change. I suppose it's the sign of the times: Metrosexual is out, the tougher male image is coming back.

Actually, metrosexuality is at an all time high (pun). But Criag is a brilliant actor who portrayed Bond quite nicely, I wish he'd have dyed his hair black, though.

Although in actuality, 007 is not built as good as this guy, because he weighs about 200 pounds, where real life Bond is 165, my weight, stanidng at 6 feet tall. Craig overcompensated for teh Bondian image and did a nice job with his body, but overall Killed Fleming's image. But then again, they want Bond to be dangerous, so a killer body follows suit.

Pierce was oftentimes too 'cartoonish', and was very ostentatious about things, where Fleming Bond is not. Take it from me, I've dedicated many years to Bond.

But you are right, I think the theme song for this film was incredible. I don't know anything about Chris Cornell, except this song, never heard anything else from him before. BUt this song really describes the motif and sets a range for the feature, I think the lyrics taken in give a vibe of intensity and the new 'rock' type feel is better than the wannabe swanky SHeryl Crow's "Tomorow Never Dies" or the grunge group Garbage's "The WOrld Is Not Enough".

This song takes a setting which plays on the cliche 'Bond, James Bond', and instead of overutilizing that over and over again in the film, they subliminally put it into the song by saying "You know my name", knowing that the viewer is thinking, "Bond, James Bond".

You've got to love the connections with how Cornell says to 'arm yourself, because no one else here will save you'. It shows pure Bondian style.

It took a real genius to write this tune, and I'm not sure if Cornell wrote it, but it is better than most of the Bond themes.

What do you find interesting about the lyrics?
