I was excited to come across a legal MP3 downloading site which included the rare Jewel albums (in entirety) MTV Unplugged, VH1 Storytellers, and Jewel Rocks the Rockies!:yahoo: I've wanted these for the longest time and couldn't find them anywhere!

Is there any special program I need to download these? I have the Itunes program, but from what I hear it won't accept non-Itunes MP3s. But I also have another program, Windows Media Player, will that work? I've never purchased MP3s online before so I don't know how this sort of thing works.
Thanks for your time.

I'm a little concerned about how safe this all is. You should never have to buy bootlegs.

What do you mean? Then where can I get MTV Unplugged and Jewel Rocks The Rockies?

Thanks for posting these, Wacky!!! I'll pay $1.53 for an entire concert!! That's 9 cents a song.
You can also get her audio book recordings for Night Without Armor. There's 87 poems she recorded, and at 9cents each you only pay $7.83 for the entire thing!!

It might be legal in Russia (where it's based) but I doubt it's legal anywhere else.

From other fans, I don't think I have the Rockies thing though, and I"m not 100% about MTV Unplugged either.

Some of Rockin' the Rockies is available on Bits and Baubles (http://www.jewelwiki.com/pmwiki.php?n=EPsAndSingles.BitsAndBaubles).
Also, you should check the wiki to see who has the MTV Unplugged (http://www.jewelwiki.com/pmwiki.php?n=Angelfood.JewelUnplugged) Angelfood and then you can get it for free through a trade.
Also, VH1 Storytellers (http://www.jewelwiki.com/pmwiki.php?n=Performances.1999-09-06NewYorkNewYorkUSA) can be found there...no one has it listed, but I know Melissa (http://www.jewelwiki.com/pmwiki.php?n=Profiles.EverythingBreaks) has a copy of it. :)

Chris.
Russia!? If it's Russian then why is it "-com", instead of "-ru" and why is it in English?
And...why do the Russians get all those cool concert CDs but we can't even get them in Jewel's native North America? That ain't right- talk about inequity. I feel so cheated.:REDFACE[1]:
Oh yeah and I got BAB, but I wan't the complete concert and thought it would be cool if I could obtain it by buying it without having to trade. Oh well:sigh:

This is not legal here and only legal in Russia as they don't have the same copyright laws that the rest of the world have signed up to. The main nations in the world are coming together to stop these Russian sites from trading. As yet, that hasn't happened.
These are bootlegs mixed with some official releases and you shouldn't have to pay for them. They are illegal because they sell music etc and don't have the legal right to. Not only that, they don't pass the royalties to the artists and therefore, pocket it for themselves. In my opinion, this is essentially stealing from the artists when they ask for money like this!
MTV and VH1 definitely don't allow this and have been on a rampage lately to rid the internet of illegal MTV/VH1 downloads e.g. YouTube.
I have removed the links as I don't know if this could potentially cause legal action against us for advertising these links.

Bearing in mind, none of this money is actually passed onto Jewel!

Unfortunately there was no official release of Jewel Unplugged. It was only every aired on TV. Never produced officially on CD or video/DVD
