Ok I feel the need to question the editing of posts because the rules are unclear about them and maybe it's just my personal opinion. Is it ethical to go back and edit your posts to say something completely different after the fact that you said one thing and someone has replyied to it based on what you wrote the first time? I understand needing to edit a word misspelled or add something you forgot, but to edit the entire post... ?
Are there not regulation for the editing of posts? I just ask this because I hate when I go back to read threads and I am confused because it's like part of the puzzle is now missing.. ya mean?

Well, if you are referring to recent posts, trust me the word gets around about what was originally stated.

well now my edit isn't a tongue twister anymore and so your post doesnt make sense so when I just edited my post I in turn was doing what I started this thread about.. it's crazy but I had good reason.
BLING!
Anybody Want To Answer That?!

It is not encouraged to completely edit your post to say something completely different. I like giving people the freedom to edit their posts when they like. I think it's a basic entitlement as a member however, it shouldn't be abused.
I tend to quote people if I think it is something they plan on changing later or will possibly try to cover up. As people here (other than JKF mods and admins) can't edit other people's posts, they can't deny what they have said as it's been quoted.
Though that isn't something I like doing and only do so in extreme circumstances.

Kiera, nicely put. So hopefully everyone will edit in moderation :) That way the threads will completely make sense when people read them over. And the quote thing makes sense as well. Thanks for giving some insight Kiera
