It's a few reasons as to why it closed but the main one being it just didn't live up to the expectations that Azoff Music management, Jewel and the fans wished for the fanclub to be.

I wouldn't rule out a fanclub again though. Another option is being looked into.

I was pretty interested in Jewel Unedited but I never got around to it because I was too cheap. So why did it close anyway?

There are several reasons but it could be 'construde' that MusicToday just weren't delivering on the many promises given.

I think that you hit the nail right on the head with that statement. I'm almost positive that the decision was made because of the failures of MT. One need to look no further than to note what other MT run fanclub is also closing on the same date to make this conclusion. At the same time Unedited is closing, so is the Baby Jane fan club. Baby Jane is Christina Aguilera's fanclub.

And the two artists share one common denominator, manager Irving Azoff.

Coincidence that both Azoff artist's clubs are closing at the same time. Me thinks not!

Ps. It's been a while since I've posted here, life keeping me busy, but hello to all. :)

Likewise!

I can't give anything away myself because it wouldn't be very diplomatic but Alan, you're well informed and make a good point!
