It is not jewels best song... by far not but i like qfl very much after hearing it alot and she looks very sexy in the video! and i must say again that it has very catchy melodies ^^

I agree with LDR. It's OK, but not one of her best IMO.

Yet still it's got a catchy (if not commercial-y) melody. I think we also have to remember it's more of a children's movie, so it's geared in that direction. I have to admit that the video to the song makes it better somehow. Esp. when she sings "it's the little things that make a difference"...and then they show the little guys in the movie. It's cute I think! I might have to see the movie to see what else I might be missing...

I am getting to like QFL more now that i have heard it so many times.
I agree with everyone else that it's not a classic Jewel track,but remember that she co-wrote it,so it's bound to have a different feel to it than the usual Jewel songs that she has the full input.
Jewel is used to writing herself,and as she often says,she tries to tell a story in her lyrics,but this song lacks that somehow,it's a sweet catchy love song,it even has a little bit of a 'power ballad' feel at times,and it certainly suits being a movie track.
Still,it's our beloved Jewel,so it's always going to be pretty good eh !

I like more and more when I hear it but I still don't think it's anything majorly special. It's clear it is not completely her work as it has tones and wording in there that don't fit in with her usual signature lines but then again, it's for a wider audience than her fanbase and made to suit a movie.

On the upside, there are posters everywhere here for Arthur and the Invisibles. Hopefully the more exposure the movie gets, the more exposure the score gets, the more exposure Jewel gets. It's a chain reaction. lol

I would like to read the lyrics for the song. I like to do this before hearing the music, because it gives my edge an idea what she is talking about, it kinda sets up your palate for what your preparing to look for. Do anyone know of a page around that has the lyrics?

I downloaded that song from a P2p program. I love the Jewel's voice on it... but the lyric is like mmm predictable. I give it a 9.0 score!!!!:wave9bm1:

It's great! I just finally watched the video yesterday and the song/video is really cute-very CMT! Jewel looks gorgeous. But I can definitely tell it wasn't written by her; it's a different kind of song. But in this case, different ain't bad.

And I love how she looks in the video too! “Country poet” is her look!
