Jewel has finished her 6-album deal with atlantic now. and ive read that she now is an free agent. what did that mean? is shestill searching a new label for her upcoming countryalbum or mean that that she can produce the album by herselfe as a producer? and ive also read that atlantic is planning to give jewel a "gift" like that she could release a greatest hits cd or a livealbum:laugh:

I heard that "rumor" too LDR. On a Faith Hill forum I belong to they mentioned that Faith will be a guest judge on Nashville Star, and that most of the judges are also on Warner Bros.-Nashville....maybe Jewel is heading in that direction too?? I don't know though, from what she's said in her interviews. She has things other than country on her mind...

I don't know but above all I think I want a live album... why hasn't she done a live album yet?? She's such a live show oriented entertainer, why hasn't she done it? Atlantic?

youre right it is very curios that she never brought out a livecd. Maybe she could not have released a "specialalbum" because she released the joycd? (she only had a 6-albumagreement)

Her Atlantic contract is already over. Atlantic is gonna release a GH to cash in, that's always a given when you end your contract (Atlantic owns Jewels records, even if she doesn't want to release a GH, she can't stop them). Jewel herself said that if she stayed with Atlantic she wouldn't release a greatest hits next, but if she left them, they would do that. Anyway, since Jewel and Atlantic do have a good relationship, I hope they both try to put out a good greatest hits package, with DVDs (all videos + real live concert, not some random 13 songs) and stuff!
Also, Jewel said she's going for a 1 record deal with her country album, so she may sign with Warner for just that 1 album.
