I hear ya! I stopped liking Sheryl Crow when she went all country. Hopefully this will still be more folk rockish than country though. *Crosses fingers*

Even if it is country sounding, it will still be Jewel's version of country. I don't know how much contempt you have for country music, but I think country has went downhill from what it originated from. Back when Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard were making music I think it was a great genre, and there are a few artists who still make good music now, but overall I think it's been over Toby-Keithified and has turned into something new all together. I think (and hope) that Jewel's country will be more at the roots of what country started out to be, which is songs about real meaningful things about life and such, not just about bottles of whiskey and pick up trucks....
