I try to make a poll about Jewel`s released Singles. Which one do you personaly think is the best? :acoustic:

It did so much for her career and will always hold a special place in my heart as it was the first ever Jewel song I ever heard

I said "Foolish Games" but I realize it probably wasn't her BIGGEST hit....but it was my favorite!! I think YWMFM was her biggest hit on the charts though.

I said "Standing Still" because it was the song that really initially attracted me to Jewel and I continue to listen to it all the time without ever getting tired of it. I'll add that "Down So Long" comes in close 2nd for me though

ha ha I was in middle school when it came out but I remember that time and there's a lot of music that takes me back there, mostly Green Day and Smashing Pumnpkins and stuff like that though...

Hm, I dont know for which song i should vote..... it might be intuition, it was the only known Jewelsong here in austria, and it makes me to get to know jewels music, but at first time i didnt know that she is the best singer/songwriter of the world :omg:!! I dont know why but she remembered me of julia stiles when i first saw the intuitionvideo :). I liked the video very much because it swapped between "homecameramadescenes" and moviescenes, but i didnt go after that.... But then... one year later, i bought This Way, because it was in bargain. And since that I LOVE JEWEL. I cant live without her music, it means so much to me. This Way maked me to buy all her albums.

Down So Long and You Were Meant for me. I've had a renewed and spectacular interest in Down So Long lately. I ended up getting a copy of the show I was just at in Nov. and she did a brilliant version of DSL and I'm addicted to it.

I think Who Will Save Your Soul really set the bar for Jewel, it still is her signature song for many and she'll always be remembered for it. Plus, it's a kick-ass song, so it gets my vote.

I voted for Standing Still. I love the video it's sexy and sweet. I also like the production on the song it fits Jewel wonderfully and that whispering falsetto she does is kick ass. Oh and the guitar in the begining! ...I'm going to listen to it right now cause I got myself revved up, lol.

I was at my cottage this week and the local radio station played "Again and Again" and "Who Will Save Your Soul" a lot. I think that may be the first time I actually heard "Again and Again" on the radio!

I had to choose five but I was tempted to just pick each and every single one in the list. (BTW: hits like Stand and This Way, shouldn't they be in this list??)
Anyway .. I am not gonna number them, for that is simply not possible!!!

- Foolish Games : for that was the song that became her 'break-through' in Europe.

- YWMFM : because that song helped me (and many many others for sure) through a tough break-up.

- WWSYS : you can not NOT love this song, what? I mean, it's like, you know, undescribable, just totally Jewel, it's amazing, I just love it!!

- Good Day : I have heard it a tiny bit too much lately, but when I first heard it, it was like .. allright, cool .. IT IS GONNA BE A GOOD DAY!! I am getting a bit annoyed though when she rasps her voice so much at the end of the song. It is cool when she does that for a moment, but I just love her voice so much when she sings so pure.

I will go with Standing Still because I love it. The other reason is becaus Standing Still is what made me a fan of Jewel- I liked You Were Meant For Me before Standing Still was released, but not enough to make me a fan.

Sonne, I've never seen her either. We're very ignored here in Europe though if this forum is anything to go by it would definitely worth her while paying a visit to Europe. Jewel, please come to Europe, we love you just as much here and the scenery is so pretty :)!

As for Down So Long, I love that song too. My favourite version is on the special edition Spirit CD. The second CD has tracks from a concert which if I'm not mistaken were recorded in Madrid. Anyway this version is just beautiful. Tender but absolutely rockin.
