JEWEL is planning a Christmas Day safari for friends and family who are flying to Texas to celebrate the holidays with the Alaskan singer and her rodeo star beau TY MURRAY. The 32-year-old has rented out a ranch on a Texas wildlife reserve and plans to treat her visitors to a wild time this Christmas. She says, "They have cheetahs, rhinoceroses and giraffes... It should be really fun." Meanwhile, Jewel will be keeping busy cooking up treats for the holidays and penning a love letter to Murray. She adds, "Ty and I write love letters to each other every Christmas, which is probably my favourite gift. "I like to make a toffee pumpkin pie or cherry cobbler. I'm a dessert fan."

THat's really awesome that they write love letters to each other, honestly I miss writing & receiving letters to and from my wife. It was something back in high school that was a big part of our relationship and it was great. Now we are just another married couple living in the real world... BUT I think that's a great tradition for them and I love how she said it's her fav. gift for Christmas. I love when people acknowledge something that isn't hugely materialistic & expensive as their favorite gift, seeing as THAT really isn't the point of Christmas :)
