Well, another year that Jewel is completely ignored by the Grammys. It's not like I really care about awards and such, but when you see this:

Best Female Pop Vocal Performance
(For a solo vocal performance. Singles or Tracks only.)

Ain't No Other Man
Christina Aguilera
Track from: Back To Basics
[RCA Records]
Unwritten
Natasha Bedingfield
Track from: Unwritten
[Epic/Phonogenic]
You Can Close Your Eyes
Sheryl Crow
Track from: Sheryl Crow Artist's Choice Deluxe Edition
[Hear Music/Universal Music]
Stupid Girls
Pink
Track from: I'm Not Dead
[LaFace/Zomba Label Group]
Black Horse And The Cherry Tree
KT Tunstall
[Relentless/Virgin]I think Good Day is a much better pop vocal performance than most of the songs nominated (ok, Stupid Girls?!?!). Plus, no matter what, they will nominate a Sheryl Crow song, it's a little ridiculous. I love her but she doesn't always deserve to be nominated.

Oh well... Jewel needs a huge hit to get a nomination I guess...

To be honest, I didn't think she'd get nominated this year. She no longer appeals to the masses like she did with Pieces of You and that is clearly a big element of getting nominated for the Grammy's.

I think it would have been deserving had she gotten nominated and it's sad that she didn't but sadly, she was not successful this time.

On a personal note, I hope KT Tunstall gets the award!!!

Im kinda pulling for Natasha to win this one..
It's really sad if you look at the whole list but "the wreckers" are nominated so theres a plus for me

yeah I am glad KT Tunstall at least got nominated, I hope she wins it too, but I'm sure it will go to Christina Aguilera or somebody else like that...

Bleh! Sheryl Crow?! Again?! I remember when she won best ROCK album for The Globe Sessions. That was a joke. It's sort of sad to see certain artists get recognition, while others don't.

Well, The Globe Sessions is one of my favorites albums ever, I think it rocks real hard. It's actually the only CD from Sheryl that I really like. The others from her are certainly not close to this. But yeah, not sure about the ROCK thing, even though I'm glad she took it!

how does Sheryl Crow continue to get recognition? While I do think she has talent, I don't think it's really grammy-worthy... I admit I like a few of the songs from Wildflower, especially Good Is Good, but I don't think it's knock-you-down talent or anything...

I wouldn't be mad if Pink won, I give her credit where credit is due
